Abstract: A fixing device includes a heating body, a pressuring body, a temperature detecting part, a first frame supporting the heating body, a second frame supporting the pressuring body and a movement mechanism. The temperature detecting part has a detecting element detecting an infrared ray radiated from the heating body and detects temperature of the heating body by the detecting element. The first frame includes a heat interrupting member covering the heating body between the heating body and the temperature detecting part. The movement mechanism moves the first frame in an approaching direction or a separating direction from the second frame to establish the heating body and the pressuring body in a pressurization state or a depressurization state. The heat interrupting member includes an aperture elongated in a movement direction of the first frame to pass the infrared ray radiated from the heating body to the detecting element through the aperture.

  • Patent number: 9606428
Abstract: Provided is an illuminating optical device that can reduce lowering of luminance in a display mode for enhancing color reproducibility. A multiple number of light source units (11, 19, 20) each emit a different color of light. Color wheel (28) includes multiple transmissive regions that each transmit a different color of light and that moves the point on which the incident light from each light source unit falls, over the transmissive regions as the wheel rotates. A storage (50) stores a multiple number of lighting pattern information items each item providing a lighting pattern to turn on each light source unit in a different period of lighting. A controller (60) receives a select signal for selecting one of the multiple lighting patterns to turn on each light source unit in accordance with the lighting pattern information that provides the lighting pattern selected by the select signal.

  • Patent number: 9608431
Abstract: An electrical circuit to interrupt a DC current includes a bypass switch and an AC high voltage breaker which includes interrupters that are rated for carrying a current having a value of the DC current for a period of time less than or equal to continuous duty. The first interrupter is electrically coupled in parallel with the bypass switch. A making switch causes a cancellation current to flow from an energy source through the second interrupter, and through the first interrupter, in addition to the DC current. The AC high voltage breaker is adapted to a DC service as the DC current in addition to the cancellation current causes an arc quench which allows the AC high voltage breaker to cause the interruption of the DC current in the electrical circuit. A method for interrupting a DC current flowing in an AC high voltage circuit breaker is also described.

  • Patent number: 9607482
Abstract: On a display screen in a gaming device is displayed an upper set of reels, a lower set of reels, and a larger shared reel that extends between the upper set of reels and the lower set of reels, the shared reel containing special symbols, wherein symbols on an upper section of the shared reel are combinable with symbols on the upper set of reels; and wherein symbols on a lower section of the shared reel are combinable with symbols on the lower set of reels. The special symbols may include wild symbols, free spin symbols, instant awards, mystery wild symbols, and secondary game play symbols. Since the player can focus on only one reel, the shared reel, which frequently determines whether the player wins, the player becomes more involved in the game and enjoys it more.
