  • Patent number: 11825786
Abstract: An indoor gardening appliance includes a grow module that is seated on a turntable that is rotatably mounted within a grow chamber and is rotated by a drive assembly. A position sensing assembly monitors an angular position using two proximity sensors, such as Hall-effect sensors, mounted below the sump at the same circumferential position but at different radial positions. The turntable includes a plurality of proximity indicators, such as magnets, positioned at each of three circumferential positions on the turntable and at different radiuses to define a two-digit binary code corresponding to each of the three circumferential positions that is detectable by the proximity sensors.

  • Patent number: 11826952
Abstract: Multi-body interpenetrating lattices comprise two or more lattices that interlace or interpenetrate through the same volume without any direct physical connection to each other, wherein energy transfer is controlled by surface interactions. As a result, multifunctional or composite-like responses can be achieved by additive manufacturing of the interpenetrating lattices, even with only a single print material, with programmable interface-dominated properties. As a result, the interpenetrating lattices can have unique mechanical properties, including improved toughness, multi-stable/negative stiffness, and electromechanical coupling.

  • Patent number: 11831850
Abstract: Relative calibration is used to generate tone reproduction curves (TRCs) at multiple printing devices. A first calibration is performed for a first paper at a first printing device to generate a first TRC. A second calibration is performed for the first paper at a second printing device to generate a second TRC. A third calibration is performed for a second paper at the first printing device to generate a third TRC. A device difference dataset is determined using the first TRC and the second TRC. A paper difference dataset is determined using the first TRC and the third TRC. The device difference dataset and the paper difference dataset are used to determine a fourth TRC for the second paper at the second printing device, thereby eliminating the need for further calibration operations.

  • Patent number: 11831662
Abstract: Extensive deployment of interoperable distributed energy resources (DER) on power systems is increasing the power system cybersecurity attack surface. National and jurisdictional interconnection standards require DER to include a range of autonomous and commanded grid-support functions which can drastically influence power quality, voltage, and the generation-load balance. Investigations of the impact to the power system in scenarios where communications and operations of DER are controlled by an adversary show that each grid-support function exposes the power system to distinct types and magnitudes of risk. The invention provides methods for minimizing the risks to distribution and transmission systems using an engineered control system which detects and mitigates unsafe control commands.
