Abstract: A direct pivot smart tower box communication system is disclosed. The direct pivot smart tower box communication system includes a plurality of wheel sensor modules, a plurality of tower box modules, and a pivot center module. The plurality of wheel sensor modules are coupled to respective wheel hubs of respective towers of a direct pivot irrigation system. The plurality of tower box modules are coupled to the respective towers of the direct pivot irrigation system, wherein a tower box module includes a tower box module controller and is in communication with a wheel sensor module at a same tower as the tower box module. The pivot center module is coupled to the pivot center, wherein the pivot center module includes a pivot center module controller and is in communication with the plurality of tower box modules.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to an adjustable paving machine. In some examples, the adjustable paving machine includes a variably expandable portion. The variably expandable portion may be expandable laterally such as to accommodate paving operations of variable widths. The adjustable paving machine may be configured to spread a variety of paving materials on a paving surface, including oils, emulsions, asphalt, slurries, or the like. The adjustable paving machine may include a containment basin operative to contain a paving material such as to reduce lateral or longitudinal movement of the paving material. The adjustable paving machine may include an adjustable shoe configured to move the paving machine vertically relative to the paving surface. The adjustable paving machine may include one or more spreading elements configured to spread the paving material on the paving surface. The spreading elements may be supported by a spreading element support enabling easy replacement of the spreading elements.

Abstract: An inflatable kayak constructed of drop-stitch material. When inflated, the drop-stitch members form a rigid, planar structure. To form a non-planar contour in one of the surfaces of a drop-stitch member, the opposing surface is folded over onto itself and a strip of glue along the fold adheres the opposing surface along the glue strip, thereby forming a V-fold extending into the interior of the drop-stitch member. When the member is inflated, the V-fold will alter the profile of the opposing surface and cause the first surface to project away along that profile. The V-fold can be augmented by use of a V-tape or contour member within the V-fold. Using a contour member in the V-fold creates profiles that a fold alone cannot produce.
Abstract: A fall protection system includes an elevation mechanism including a base end and an elevated end, and that is configured to permit a user to scale the elevation mechanism. The first channel is disposed at a first side of the elevation mechanism and extends between the base end and the elevated end, and is configured to anchor a first shuttle to the elevation mechanism and permit the first shuttle to transition between the base end and the elevated end of the elevation mechanism. The second channel is disposed at a second side of the elevation mechanism and extends between the base end and the elevated end, and is configured to anchor a second shuttle to the elevation mechanism and permit the second shuttle to transition between the base end and the elevated end of the elevation mechanism.
Abstract: A reclining chair or the like provides a set of base-mounted extendable arms that extend outward as the chair reclines to brace the chair against tipping. A force-limiting coupler allows the reclining mechanism and the extendable arms to be linked while maintaining different force regimes.
Abstract: The present invention provides an assembly having a wheelchair and a wheelchair rigging receptacle. The wheelchair may include an appendage support rigging that is releasably affixed to the frame and configured to support a user's appendage, e.g. foot, when in use. The assembly also provides at least one receptacle configured to retain the appendage support rigging within, when the appendage support rigging is not affixed to the frame. The receptacle may comprise two opposing flexible side walls, a rear wall extending between the side walls, and a bottom extending between a lower edge of the walls to define an interior cavity between an inner surface of the wall and the base that has a width approximately equal to a width of the appendage support rigging. The receptacle also includes at least one mounting device to affix the receptacle to the anti-tip bar of the wheelchair at the rear of the seating surface.

Abstract: Methods of making a protective cover. According to one method, a composite sheet is formed by providing a substrate formed from a nonwoven material having a puncture resistance exceeding 500 N, the substrate having a first surface and a second surface, disposing a first layer of plastic film on the substrate first surface and a second layer of plastic film on the substrate second surface. The composite sheet has a first end, a second end, a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, and an axis extending between the first lateral edge and the second lateral edge. The method also includes folding the composite sheet about the axis to bring the first end of the composite sheet proximate the second end of the composite sheet and define a partially enclosed space having an opening proximate the first and second ends of the composite sheet.
Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments of the disclosed subject matter, mechanisms (which can, for example, include systems, methods, and media) for harmonizing procurement across distribution networks with heterogeneous product availability are provided. In some embodiments, a method for automatically generating an order guide for a facility associated with an organization is provided, the method comprising: presenting items available in first, second portions of a distribution network; presenting items available via the network; creating a general order guide, and adding a first item thereto; determining that the first item is unavailable and a second item is available in the first portion; identifying substitutes, including the second item, for the first item; generate a facility order guide with items in the first portion based on the general order guide; automatically selecting the second item for the facility order guide; and associating the facility order guide and facility.
