  • Patent number: 8050448
Abstract: A method is disclosed for gaining access to an object and/or to a service of an object or service provider. A biometric reference parameter of at least one user is recorded in a personal mobile station. The user orders an object or service from a remote server by means of his personal mobile station. An actual biometric parameter is recorded by a biometric sensor of the object or service provider and the recorded actual biometric parameter is compared to the reference parameter. On a successful comparison, access to the object or service is permitted. The invention further relates to a system with the components mentioned.

  • Patent number: 8045974
Abstract: A method for establishing an optimized communication link between mobile network nodes. An interface management module of a first mobile network node checks the mobile network node for available network interfaces and establishes a look-up table with the available network interfaces. Based on the look-up table at least one signalling channel is set up for configuration data with communication parameters and/or security parameters via one of the available network interfaces with a second mobile network node. Based on the look-up table with the communication parameters and the security parameters at least one data channel is established between the first mobile network node and the second mobile network node. Both the at least one signalling channel and the at least one data channel are able to be set up via one or more network interfaces.

Abstract: An insertion device for a cable in an existing pipe network includes a longitudinally stable flexible element that can be inserted into a pipe region of the pipe network, and on which a head part can be placed. The head part can be diverted to pass through regions of bends of the pipe. Placed on the flexible element is a coupling part to which coupling part the cable to be pulled can be coupled. The head part includes a base body having an elongated shape, which can be led from a stretched position into a bent position. The base body includes guide elements by which at least one pulling element is guided that is spaced apart from the bending axis of the base body. One end of the pulling element is held at one end region of the base body, whereas the other end is held at a drivable linear drive that is attached at the other end region of the base body. Disposed at the end region, remote from the flexible element, of the head part are a light source and a camera.

  • Patent number: 7967200
Abstract: The invention relates to an authorization verification method and devices suited therefor, which play back authorization data via a user interface (11) of an electronic playback device (1). During the playback of authorization data via the user interface (11) of a first playback device (1), the playback attributes are modified. The playback of authorization data via the user interface (11) of the first playback device (1) is compared with the playback of reference data via a user interface (21) of a second electronic playback device (2). Authorization is granted in the event the playback of authorization data via the user interface (11) of the first playback device (1) matches the playback of reference data via the user interface (21) of the second playback device (2), and modifications of the playback attributes are, in essence, time-synchronized.

  • Patent number: 7907957
Abstract: A method and a system for data transmission with mobile network nodes, which include at least two network interfaces with corresponding power consumption. A central unit is configured to receive data intended for the mobile network, and a first network interface of the mobile network node is deactivated. If the central unit receives data intended for themobile network node, a signaling message assigned to the received data is transmitted to the mobile network node, by a signaling module, via a second network interface of the mobile network node. Based on the transmitted signaling message, the first network interface of the mobile network node is activated, and data, which are intended for the mobile network node, are transmitted via the first network interface to the mobile network node.

  • Patent number: 7840205
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method and a system for establishing a dynamic peer-to-peer communications channel between a first terminal and a second terminal. A first terminal and a second terminal are connectable over secured communications channels to a secured network. The first terminal sends a connection request for establishing a communications channel between the terminals. The connection request is analyzed by an analyzer module. Based on network parameters of the terminals, the analyzer module searches for a further network, and establishes a peer-to-peer communications channel over this further network. Security of the peer-to-peer communications channel may be maintained by means of a central unit of the secured network.

  • Patent number: 7801492
Abstract: Proposed are a method and a system for management of resources of portable resource modules, each connected to a communication terminal, which modules comprise electronic memory units and are designed in particular as chipcards. A first resource management instruction comprising a module identification is transmitted to a resource management center. A second resource management instruction is transmitted from the resource management center via a communication network to the resource module identified through the module identification. In the particular resource module, resources are made ready or released by a resource control mechanism corresponding to the received second resource management instruction. A resource management confirmation is transmitted by the particular resource module via the communication network to the resource management center, and in the resource management center information about the resources made ready or released is stored assigned to the module identification.

  • Patent number: 7734507
Abstract: A method is described for directing a user of a mobile device from a current location to a product, wherein an identification code of the product is recorded in the mobile device and transmitted to a name server. The identification code is used in the name server among others for loading product-related data into the mobile device, e.g. a geographical location where the product can be bought. Following this, the user of the mobile device can go to said geographic location. For directing said user to the product, a direct contactless connection is established between said mobile device and a RFID element with which said product is marked, by using the same identification code or product-related data previously supplied by the name server.

  • Patent number: 7715370
Abstract: For subscribing a user to a service offered by a first application server (SIP-AS1) of an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem, a request for the service, addressed to a public service identifier of the service, is received from the user in a Call Session Control Function unit (S-CSCF). The request is evaluated based on filter criteria (iCF) associated with the user. In absence of the filter criteria (iCF) associating the service with the first application server (SIP-AS1), the request is forwarded to a second application server (SIP-AS2) based on addressing information obtained from filter criteria (FC) associated with the public service identifier. The second application server (SIP-AS2) transmits to the user a message that includes means for enabling the user to subscribe to the service. Users can be subscribed to a service at the time they desire to use the service, immediately preceding usage of the service.
