    Abstract: A delivery system for deploying an implantable medical device to a target location of a body vessel can include a tubular body with a lumen extending therethrough, a pull wire extending through the lumen, and a proximal support tube disposed within the lumen and engaged to the pull wire such that proximal translation of the support tube causes proximal translation of the pull wire. The proximal support tube can include a marked distal section that is not visible to an operator of the delivery system prior to the release of the implant and that becomes visible when the proximal support tube is pulled proximally a sufficient distance to cause the delivery system to release the implant.

First and second linkages can connect the upper and lower body portions. Rotation of an actuator shaft can cause the distal and proximal wedge members to be drawn together such that longitudinal movement of the distal wedge member against the distal surfaces and the longitudinal movement of the proximal wedge member against the proximal surfaces causes separation of the upper and lower body portions.

    Abstract: An orthopedic fixation system includes an orthopedic implant and a compression insert transitionable between a natural shape and an insertion shape. The orthopedic implant includes first and second plates with insert slots configured to receive therein a portion of the compression insert. The first and second plates secure with a bone in an opposed relationship while being separated by an expansion whereby the insert slots of the first and second plates align across the expansion. The compression insert, in the insertion shape, inserts into the insert slots of the first and second plates such that the compression insert spans the expansion. The compression insert, due to an attempted transition thereof from the insertion shape to the natural shape, delivers energy stored therein to the first plate and the second plate whereby the orthopedic implant affixes the bone.

Pull wire beads positioned on the proximal pull wire and distal pull wire portion can retain the suture knots during proximal translation of the pull wire. The suture linkage can include slack that is effective to prevent premature deployment of the implant.

Sliding the wire distally, or microcatheter proximally, relative to the clot causes the distal basket to move from a collapsed state to an expanded state. The cage may be around at least two portions of the clot that are opposed.

    Abstract: An endovascular detachment mechanism can include an endovascular implant including an open end and a pinched end, a connector positioned approximate the pinched end, a lock wire, and an outer coil surrounding the lock wire. Axial rotation of the threaded portion can cause the lock wire to translate proximally with respect to the outer coil to thereby disengage the distal end of the lock wire from the connector. The mechanism can include an inner coil and an outer coil, and axial rotation of the inner coil with respect to the outer coil can cause the distal end of the lock wire to disengage from the connector.
