Abstract: Based upon the current position of a vehicle, a processor determines which V2X communication standard to use. If a change from a current V2X protocol being used to a new protocol (required because of the location of the vehicle) is determined, software for the new protocol is loaded to re-configure the processor or other electronic devices in the VCU or elsewhere in the vehicle.

Abstract: System and methods discussed for automatically optimizing application and notification delivery based on user preferences and historical application usage. Applications that a user is likely to want to use at the present time or in the near future are displayed in an organizationally distinct way in an application catalog so they are easy to find and are pre-loaded on an application delivery server so they are available with minimal system lag caused by application loading processes. Application notifications are also optimized such that notifications that are likely to be relevant to users at the current time are identified and presented to them in an organizationally distinct way.

Abstract: Each data stream in a backup job is individually tracked by data agent(s) and media agent(s) in its path, generating performance data packets in-process and merging them into the processed data stream. The data stream thus incrementally accumulates performance data packets from any number of successive backup processes. The in-process tracking also captures hierarchical relationships among backup processes and in-process subtending tasks, so that the resulting performance report can depict parent and child operations. The hierarchical relationships are embedded into the performance data packets and may be analyzed by parsing the data stream. The media agent transfers the data packets belonging to the secondary copy to secondary storage. The media agent analyzes the performance data packets in the data stream and generates a performance report, which covers the data stream from source to destination, based on the accumulated information carried by the performance data packets.

Abstract: Aspect ratio modifying imaging systems and methods are provided. In one example, an infrared imaging device includes at least one lens element configured to transmit electromagnetic radiation associated with a portion of a scene. The portion has a first aspect ratio. The electromagnetic radiation includes mid-wave and/or long-wave infrared light. The at least one lens element has a freeform surface having no translational symmetry and no rotational symmetry. The infrared imaging device further includes a detector array configured to receive image data associated with the electromagnetic radiation from the at least one lens element and generate, based on the image data, an image. The image data has a second aspect ratio different from the first aspect ratio. Each of the first and second aspect ratios is a ratio of a size along a first direction and a size along a second direction orthogonal to the first direction.

The system comprises an archive of configuration files with first and second configuration files for executing the application on the first and second reconfigurable processors, respectively, and a host system that is operatively coupled to the first and second reconfigurable processors. The host system comprises a runtime processor that allocates reconfigurable processors for executing the application and an auto-discovery module that is configured to perform discovery of whether the reconfigurable processors include at least one of the first reconfigurable processors and whether the reconfigurable processors include at least one of the second reconfigurable processors.
Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to femtocells for wireless communication coverage. An example method includes receiving, by a first interface of a virtualized network function (VNF), first wireless data comprising a first identifier identifying a first type of wireless base station in a wireless environment, converting, by the VNF, the first identifier to a second identifier identifying a second type of wireless base station and at least one wireless base station of a plurality of wireless base stations in the environment, the at least one wireless base station being a virtual wireless base station instantiated by the VNF and configured to execute a set of functions to effectuate wireless communication in the environment, and transmitting, by a second interface of the VNF, second wireless data to a network function associated with a wireless core network and comprising the second identifier and at least a portion of the first wireless data.

Abstract: An actuator-controlled electric strike for operating in conjunction with a spring latch of a lockset is provided. The strike comprises a housing having an entry chamber therein, and a spring latch keeper disposed in the entry chamber for movement between a keeper locked position and a keeper unlocked position. The spring latch keeper is rotatable about a keeper axis of rotation. The spring latch keeper includes: a keeper face configured for abutting contact with the spring latch when the spring latch is disposed in the entry chamber and the spring latch is in the engaged position; a second surface recessed from the keeper face, and a spring latch contact ridge positioned between the keeper face and the second surface, wherein the spring latch contact ridge is disposed at a non-perpendicular angle from the keeper axis of rotation.
Abstract: An open top wash system having separate wash mechanisms on opposite sides of a wash zone provides considerable flexibility and efficiency by allowing vehicles of several heights to be washed. The wash mechanisms are further configured to provide additional efficiency by allowing wash and/or rinse nozzles to be positioned in close proximity to the vehicle, thereby limiting amount of water need for washing operations. The wash system also has several sensors positioned and controlled to trace a vehicle in the wash zone, thus providing significant information for use in positioning both side wash spray nozzles and tracer wand spray nozzles during wash and rinse operations. Although the control system is capable of careful control of nozzles, mechanical breakaway systems are further included should physical contact with the vehicle occur, thus allowing an additional level of safety.

Abstract: A client machine writes to and reads from a virtual disk on a remote storage platform. Metadata is generated and stored in replicas on different metadata nodes of the storage platform. A modified log-structured merge tree is used to store and compact string-sorted tables of metadata. During file storage and compaction, a consistent file identification scheme is used across all metadata nodes. A fingerprint file is calculated for each SST (metadata) file on disk that includes hash values corresponding to regions of the SST file. To synchronize, the fingerprint files of two SST files are compared, and if any hash values are missing from a fingerprint file, then the key-value-timestamp triples corresponding to these missing hash values are sent to the SST file that is missing them. The SST file is compacted with the missing triples to create a new version of the SST file. The synchronization is bi-directional.
