The method comprises the steps of: i) press-fitting a sensor element onto a shaft of a throttle plate of a throttle body assembly; ii) engaging one or more inwardly extending members of the sensor element with one or more recessed portions formed on the shaft of the throttle plate; and iii) disposing an inductive rotary position sensor proximate the sensor element, wherein the press-fit engagement and one or more inwardly extending members limit axial and rotational movement of the sensor element with respect to the throttle plate, and wherein the inductive rotary position sensor detects a relative position of the sensor element for the purpose of ascertaining a position of the throttle plate.

    Abstract: A touch panel system includes a panel, first and second scanning mirrors located about first and second panel corners, a photodetector array along a first panel edge between the first and the second panel corners, and a stationary plane mirror along a second panel edge adjacent to the first panel edge. The first scanning mirror sweeps a light beam across the panel. The second mirror sweeps another light beam across the panel, a part of which reflects from the stationary plane mirror to back into the panel to sweep the panel from a different angle. The light beams, including the reflected part from the stationary plane mirror, strike objects on the panel and reflect towards the photodetector array. Angular positions of the first and the second scanning mirrors at the times the photodetector array detects the reflected light are correlated to object locations.

Upon receiving the request, the server agent identifies a modified version of the first file in a provisional user profile, retrieves the modified first file from the provisional user profile and the second file from the base user profile, and just in time delivers both files to the second user session.

By pre-fetching stored data from a slower memory into a faster memory, the amount of time required for data retrieval and/or processing may be reduced. First, data is received and pre-scanned to generate a sample fingerprint. Fingerprints stored in a faster memory that are similar to the sample fingerprint are identified. Data stored in the slower memory associated with the identified stored fingerprints is copied into the faster memory. The copied data may be compared to the received data. Various embodiments may be included in a network memory architecture to allow for faster data matching and instruction generation in a central appliance.

In a multi-segment intravascular guide wire, discrete, high modulus and medium modulus core portions of different materials are welded to a shapeable, low modulus distal core portion made of a third material having a flattened, shapeable section at a most distal end that is not welded to but made from the distal core portion, so the flattened, shapeable section can be deformed to create a steerable tip. Processes such as simultaneous resistance and friction welding can be used to join the core portions.
