Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for tracking and determining the motion of a cardiac implant is disclosed. The motion of the implant is determined by transmitting acoustic energy to a tissue location using an acoustic controller-transmitter comprising an array of acoustic transducers; wherein the implant is configured to convert the transmitted acoustic energy to electrical energy; and the tracking is achieved by determining the electrical energy delivered to the tissue throughout one or more cardiac cycles in order to create a motion profile of the cardiac implant.
Abstract: The rate limiter circuits in the packet processing chip of a NIC are a limited hardware resource that may limit the number of workloads that can be run on a server. Some such chips include an egress packet processing pipeline circuit and a second packet processing pipeline circuit that prepares work for the egress pipeline circuit. Some of the stages of the second pipeline circuit can be configured as a first limiter and a second limiter that implement aspects of different rate limiters such as IOPS limiters, bandwidth limiters, etc. Another pipeline stage can use the outputs of the different rate limiters to make a limiting decision that is written into one of the rate limiter circuits. The second pipeline circuit is thereby implementing virtualized rate limiters where one of the rate limiter circuits performs the rate limiting for the virtualized rate limiters.
Abstract: A DC/AC inverter and microinverter architectures using the DC/AC inverter are disclosed. The DC/AC inverter is based on a differential geometry control scheme to balance and optimize the flying capacitor voltages across the flying capacitors used in the inverter's power circuit. Based on changing inverter and overall system conditions, including capacitor voltages, grid voltages, grid current, and DC bus voltages, desired fields are generated. These fields are used to balance capacitor voltages such that capacitor voltage values converge, over time, to an optimal solution.
Abstract: A weight training machine includes a central console including a motor. It further includes an arm having a length attached on either side of the console by a joint that allows rotation of the arm in a substantially vertical plane. It further includes a cable routed from the motor through the arm to a distal end of the arm. The cable terminates at an attachment point. The arm includes an outer section and an inner section arranged to telescope in a manner that changes the length of the arm.

Abstract: Systems and methods for pointing a high gain antenna or other directional instrument connected to a platform by a gimbal are provided. A control system as disclosed can include a flight computer having a processor for executing software and a motor control board having a controller for implementing at least portions of a control algorithm. The software executed by the processor generates pointing commands and implements a Kalman filter included in a feedback loop in the form of a linear Kalman filter disturbance estimator of the control algorithm implemented by the controller. The control algorithm can further implement a proportional control position loop and a proportional control rate loop. Each axis of the gimbal is provided with an instance of the control algorithm and the Kalman filter. Moreover, the processor can be operated at a rate that is less than a rate at which the controller is operated.

Abstract: An example method of radiation therapy in a radiation therapy system that includes a gantry with a treatment-delivering X-ray source and an imaging X-ray source mounted thereon is described. The method includes rotating the gantry in a first direction at a first rotational velocity about an open bore and concurrently rotating an annular support structure at a second rotational velocity about the open bore, wherein the second rotational velocity is less than the first rotational velocity. While continuing to rotate the gantry in the first direction about the open bore from a first position to a treatment position, the method also includes generating multiple images of a target volume disposed in the bore using the imaging X-ray source. Upon rotating the gantry to the treatment position, the method includes initiating delivery of a treatment beam to the target volume with the treatment-delivering X-ray source.
