    Abstract: Optical connection systems including electrical-and-optical connection systems and methods thereof are disclosed. An electrical-and-optical connection system can include an extension tube having a plug and a relay module having a receptacle. The plug can be formed of a metal piece around electrical wires, which, in turn, are around optical-fiber cores that extend along a length of the extension tube. The plug can be configured to pierce through at least a sterile barrier. The relay module can include electrical wires and optical-fiber cores within a housing of the relay module, as well as a receptacle disposed in the housing. The receptacle can be configured to simultaneously accept insertion of the plug therein and establish both electrical and optical connections between the plug and the receptacle from a sterile field to a non-sterile field set up by the sterile barrier. Shape-sensing systems including the optical connection systems are also disclosed.

There is a combustion chamber for the burner, located upstream of the dryer inlet, and the burner flame is limited to the combustion chamber so the fine particulate material does not come into direct contact with the burner flame. The output from the dryer passes through a knock-out box including a baffle system with a plurality of narrow gaps to create a pressure drop to slow down the gas flow and enable the entrained fine mesh dry particulate to drop out through a bottom outlet before the effluent gas is sent to the dust collection/air filtration system.

    Abstract: The components and methods disclosed herein are directed to positive type photosensitive resin compositions, which are comprised of an alkynyl containing polymer, a benzophenone type DNQ, and solvents. The alkynyl containing polymer is prepared by the condensation reaction of alkynyl containing dianhydrides and hydroxyl containing diamines, and alkynyl containing end cappers. The advantage of this formulation is that the resulting photosensitive resin composition is comprised of only a polymer, a benzophenone type DNQ PAC, and solvents that generates high resolution patterned films with good thermal and physical properties without using additional additives. This composition also enables film curing at relatively low temperatures without additional additives, simplifying the composition. After curing, the alkynyl units in the polymer chain and the chain ends give the cured film excellent solvent resistance and film retention due to intra and/or inter-molecular crosslinking.
