Patent number: 10025467Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for automatically managing control configurations in an application graphical user interface (GUI). Interface element specifications may be configured via a customized overlay file corresponding to at least one party having influence over the application controlled by the GUI, such as an application vendor, a user group, and an individual user. The overlay file is created and saved via an interface manager GUI that allows new interface elements such as toolbars and toolbar buttons to be added, and existing interface elements to be modified, but does not allow existing default interface elements to be destructively edited, only hidden or visibly disabled. The overlay file is processed during program environment startup and when user actions trigger a separate application or feature window activation or reset a particular overlay file's modifications. Compatibility with vendor-supplied default interfaces and other overlay file based customizations is maintained.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2013Date of Patent: July 17, 2018Assignee: Cadence Design Systems, Inc.Inventor: Graeme Bunyan

Patent number: 10028175Abstract: Communication systems and methods suitable for use in a Multiple Line Multiple Device service environment, involving a native line and a second shared line, are disclosed. Logic at one or more nodes and application servers is configured to ensure that network handover data, or other information, is only updated for the native line registration but not the shared line. Then when a call is placed or received on the shared line, the call is anchored to the native line based on that network handover data. If, during that call, a request is received to handover the call from a first network having a first communication protocol to a second network having a second communication protocol, the handover occurs based on the anchored native line. In one example embodiment the first network is a Packet Switched network and the second network is a Circuit Switched network.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2016Date of Patent: July 17, 2018Assignee: Mavenir System, Inc.Inventors: Anish Sharma, Michael Brett Wallis, Bejoy Pankajakshan

Patent number: 10028411Abstract: An electronic controller having a housing, and a lower sub-assembly connected to a housing through the use of a laser weld, eliminating the use of a gasket and fasteners. The laser weld provides a sealed connection between the housing and the lower sub-assembly, preventing debris, moisture, oils, ATF, and chemicals from entering the housing, which protects the electrical components located inside the housing. The elimination of the gasket and fasteners also reduces the cost of the electronic controller. Depending upon the application, the electrical components may be mounted directly to the lower sub-assembly, or the electrical components may be mounted on a metal core. The metal core is used to provide heat dissipation and function as an electrical conductor. The lower sub-assembly may either be overmolded around the metal core, or the metal core may be attached to the lower sub-assembly after the lower sub-assembly has been formed.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2016Date of Patent: July 17, 2018Assignee: Continental Automotive Systems, Inc.Inventors: Anthony J Polak, Jared Yagoda, Gerry Bianco
