Abstract: A distributed indexing system spreads out the load on an index of stored data in a data storage system. Rather than maintain a single index, the distributed indexing system maintains an index in each media agent of a federated data storage system and a master index that points to the index in each media agent. In some embodiments, the distributed indexing system includes an index server (or group of servers) that handles indexing requests and forwards the requests to the appropriate distributed systems. Thus, the distributed indexing system, among other things, increases the availability and fault tolerance of a data storage index.
Abstract: A prompting method using an electronic device includes detecting whether the electronic device receives a new event. A number of times that new events of the electronic device are not processed is calculated when the received new event is not processed. A prompting device is controlled to transmit a notice of the received new event according to the calculated number of times.

Abstract: Methods and systems for performing file transfers across different domains hosted by a virtualization server are described herein. A trusted domain (Dom 0) may indicate that one or more files, directories, and/or volumes are available to a second domain (guest domain) by updating share information stored in a key value store. The guest domain may enumerate the shared files to appear as if within its own file system structure. The guest domain intercepts calls to its file system, determines whether the requested data is actually stored in its own file system or in trusted domain, and proxies the file system call to the trusted domain when the requested data is shared by the trusted domain. Key value store information and shared data information and contents may be communicated using one or more memories shared between the trusted domain and guest domain.
Abstract: Systems and methods for quantifying the likelihood of the contribution of multiple possible forms of chronic disease to patient reported dyspnea can include the testing protocol having a flow/volume loop, performed at rest, flowed by the measurement of cardiopulmonary exercise gas exchange variables during rest, exercise and recovery as unique data sets. The data sets are analyzed using feature extraction steps to produce a pictorial image consisting of disease silos displaying the likelihood of the contribution of various chronic diseases to patient reported dyspnea. In some embodiments, the silos are split into subclass silos. In some embodiments, multiple chronic disease indexes are used to differentiate between sub-types of a particular chronic disease (e.g., differentiating WHO 1 PH from WHO 2 or WHO 3 PH). Test results are plotted serially to asses to provide feedback to the physician on the efficacy of therapy provided to the patient.

Abstract: An intravascular sensor delivery device for measuring a physiological parameter of a patient, such as blood pressure, within a vascular structure or passage. In some embodiments, the device can be used to measure the pressure gradient across a stenotic lesion or heart valve. For example, such a device may be used to measure fractional flow reserve (FFR) across a stenotic lesion in order to assess the severity of the lesion. The sensor delivery device has a distal sleeve configured to pass or slide over a standard medical guidewire. Some distance back from the sensor and distal sleeve, the device separates from the guidewire to permit independent control of the sensor delivery device and the guidewire. The sensor delivery device can be sized to pass over different sizes of guidewires to enable usage in coronary and peripheral arteries, for example.
