Patent number: 10020824Abstract: An improved approach is provided to identifying the boundary of data encoded using additive cyclic codes. In some embodiment, the process includes determining a first calculated parity of a first bit stream window, and, second, one or more updates to the calculated parity of the bit stream window to determine the parity of the next bit stream window, where after each update to the calculated parity, the calculated parity is compared with the target parity, and matching the calculated parity to the target parity indicates a proper boundary of a bit stream window. In some embodiments, the process supports shortened cyclic codes. In some embodiments, the bit stream boundary can be identified prior to descrambling the bit stream inputs for a given bit stream window. In this way, the process can avoid unnecessarily descrambling of the bit stream windows that are not properly aligned to a bit stream boundary.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2016Date of Patent: July 10, 2018Assignee: Cadence Design Systems, Inc.Inventor: Sarath Kumar Jha

Patent number: 10021088Abstract: Methods and systems for faster and more efficient smart card logon and for giving a client device full domain access in a remote computing environment are described herein. Fast smart card logon may be used to reduce latency and improve security. For example, the system may reduce the number of operations (e.g., interactions) between a server device used for authentication and the client device. These operations may include fetching a user certificate from the smart card or signing data. Fast smart card logon may also improve security by optionally avoiding PIN (or other credential) transmission over networks, and to enable single sign on from an authentication event (e.g., Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) authentication) using a smart card to the domain logon without resorting to PIN caching.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2015Date of Patent: July 10, 2018Assignee: Citrix Systems, Inc.Inventors: Andrew Innes, Chris Mayers, Hubert Divoux

Patent number: 10020197Abstract: Porogen accumulation in a UV-cure chamber is reduced by removing outgassed porogen through a heated outlet while purge gas is flowed across a window through which a wafer is exposed to UV light. A purge ring having specific major and minor exhaust to inlet area ratios may be partially made of flame polished quartz to improve flow dynamics. The reduction in porogen accumulation allows more wafers to be processed between chamber cleans, thus improving throughput and cost.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2015Date of Patent: July 10, 2018Assignee: Novellus Systems, Inc.Inventors: Lisa Gytri, Jeff Gordon, James Lee, Carmen Balderrama, Joseph Brett Harris, Eugene Smargiassi, Stephen Yu-Hong Lau, George D. Patent number: 10021560Abstract: A mechanism to allow provisioning and use of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) for authorized access in the enterprise network through a 3G/4G/Wi-Fi access network is provided. A brokering entity in the mobile packet core is provisioned for each authorized employee with enterprise specific rules for security and steering of user traffic. An Enterprise Container is defined as entity on the User Equipment that is self-contained virtual machine with enterprise sanctioned applications. An intelligent mechanism for and steering of signaling and traffic from such BYOD devices to the brokering entity is defined. At any time by using the personal container or the default behavior of the user equipment the user can get mobile service as if the Enterprise Container did not exist. Further, when such employment relationship is terminated the user's BYOD needs to be restored to its pre-employment functionality.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2017Date of Patent: July 10, 2018Assignee: Mavenir Systems, Inc.Inventors: Nishi Kant, Heeseon Lim

Publication number: 20180191605Abstract: Internet protocol packets are statelessly identified as associated with a particular session-instance by identifying a key, or session-instance identifier, within the data (or payload) portion of a user plane packet. This identifier is specific to the session-instance and remains constant throughout the session-instance. Using this stateless identification, transmitted user plane packets are automatically routed at the transmission speed of the transmission link using a method that automatically balances the analysis processing load between network probes. The load is balanced by routing the user plane packet to a network probe that is either already analyzing the session-instance or by routing the user plane packet to a system that has processing capacity to analyze a new session-instance. The network probe then analyzes the user plane packet and the session-instance to measure the quality of the user experience of the session-instance and performance of the network.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2018Publication date: July 5, 2018Applicant: NetScout Systems, Inc.Inventor: Bruce A. Publication number: 20180187764Abstract: A wave generator of a flat-type strain wave gearing has an insertion member disposed between two wave bearings. The insertion member is pressed into an elliptical outer peripheral surface of a plug and is fixed thereto by an adhesive. An inner ring contact part of the insertion member is in contact with inner rings of the wave bearings from the direction of a center axis. When the flat-type strain wave gearing is in an operating state, the wave bearings can be prevented from moving relative to the plug in the direction of the center axis by means of thrust force acting on the wave bearings.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2015Publication date: July 5, 2018Applicant: Harmonic Drive Systems Inc.Inventors: Jun HANDA, Hiroaki KIMURA, Sotaro MIYAKE

Publication number: 20180189432Abstract: In disclosed techniques, simulations are performed to determine data center performance under certain conditions. The simulations are dynamic and allow for changes in power demand due to temporal data center activities. In order to accommodate predicted and unpredicted fluctuations in power demand of a data center, one or more power caches are configured to supply additional power during periods of peak demand. Power caches provide supplemental power during periods of peak demand. The simulations are used for a variety of purposes, including determining the effects of power caches going offline under various conditions. Disclosed techniques can simulate the cycling of a power cache and can determine if additional configuration changes to the data center are warranted to maintain optimal health of the power caches. Thus, power scenario simulation of a data center can provide information vital to efficient operation of the data center.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2018Publication date: July 5, 2018Applicant: Virtual Power Systems, Inc.Inventors: Martin P Leslie, Karimulla Raja Shaikh, Nikhil Sharma, Ravi Subramaniam, Shankar Ramamurthy
