Abstract: The invention relates to a device for heating up meals. It comprises a housing which can be closed by means of a door and shields the surroundings from electromagnetic waves. One or more functional trays which contain one or more induction coils are held within the housing, in order to be able to inductively heat up meals held in containers so that they can be consumed. The object of the invention is to increase the operational reliability of a device of this type. According to the invention, an electrically conducting element is therefore present on end faces of functional trays which are oriented in the direction of a door opening in the housing. Each individual electrically conducting element is also connected to the local potential, housing potential and/or ground potential, in order to be able to ensure that the surroundings are shielded from electromagnetic waves, even when the housing door is open.
Abstract: The invention relates to thin film-shaped or wafer-shaped pharmaceutical preparations for oral administration of active substances. Abstract: A method for operating a wind energy installation and a system for implementing the method. An oblique incident flow value, which represents the difference between the wind direction and the direction of a rotor axis of the wind energy installation, and a load value, which represents the load state of the wind energy installation, are determined. A total load value is determined based on the load value and the oblique incident flow value. The rotor rotation speed is reduced when the total load value is above a first limit value. The wind energy installation is shut down when, in addition, a second limit value is exceeded. The method makes it possible to react objectively to oblique incident flows and can reduce a load on a wind energy installation without causing large yield losses.

Abstract: A windpark includes at least two wind energy installations, each of which installations comprises a rotor, a generator driven by the rotor and a control device, and which are connected via connecting lines to a main line. The windpark also includes a linking point which connects the main line to a power transmission network, a parkmaster which is configured for power factor control and has communication lines for transmission of control signals to the wind energy installations, and a power-factor control section including a distributed regulator having a higher-level regulator located at the parkmaster which is configured to determine a nominal voltage in order to set a global power coefficient for the power which is emitted to the power transmission network and to emit the nominal voltage as a signal via the communication lines and lower-level regulators at the wind energy installations.
Abstract: A method for optimizing the operation of wind energy installations includes operating target and reference wind energy installations to optimize the target installation first using a first set of operating parameters and then using a second set of operating parameters different from the first operating parameters, recording target variables for the target wind energy installation and recording reference results of the reference wind energy installation in each case for both sets of operating parameters, performing an automated evaluation of the target variables by calculation of a quality measure taking account of the reference results, and determining in an automated manner based on the automated evaluation which of the sets of operating parameters has better quality measure. Each wind installation includes comprise a rotor, a generator driven by the rotor to produce electrical energy, and a controller operating the wind energy installation on the basis of a set of operating parameters.
Abstract: Wind energy installation with a generator (13) which is driven by a rotor (2) with adjustable rotor blades (21), for producing electrical energy, wherein a pitch adjustment device (3) is provided for adjusting the blades, which pitch adjustment device comprises an emergency circuit (5) with an energy store (50) for actuating a blade actuating motor (55). The invention provides for a shunt branch (60) with a current-balancing device (6, 6?) to be provided in parallel with the energy store (50), wherein the current-balancing device (6, 6?) is designed so as to control the current shunt branch (60) depending on a feedback current from the blade actuating motor (55). The invention provides a current balancing circuit (6), with which the feedback current occurring in the overrunning state is dissipated in controlled fashion via a shunt branch and therefore the electrical energy store (50) is protected from a damaging feedback current.
Abstract: Disclosed is a foil pocket (10) comprising at least one carrier foil (11) and at least one lidding foil (12). A foil-type or sheet-type product (1) is enclosed in a gas-tight and moisture-proof manner between the carrier foil (11) and the lidding foil (12), i.e. the joined parts, and is surrounded by a joining zone (30). At least one joining zone section (33, 34, 43, 44) which is not disposed perpendicular to the tear-off peeling direction (9) and is located laterally next to the product (1) widens and/or narrows in the joining zone (30) transversal to the tear-off peeling direction (9). At least the first quarter of the joining zone section (13, 43) that is not disposed perpendicular to the tear-off peeling direction (9) is provided with no widened area (35-41) and/or no narrow area (55-58). The invention make it possible to create a primary packaging which dispenses with the use of auxiliary means such as gloves, tweezers, or similar for applying systems containing active substances.
Abstract: The spray assembly of a dispensing device is arranged together with a mixing assembly inside a mixing and spray head, the mixing assembly being arranged before the swirl chamber of the spray assembly, and the mixing and spray head, which forms a unit, being removably attached to a multicomponent dispensing appliance. The result is a more homogeneous spray action, on one hand, and an easy replacement of the head, on the other hand.
Abstract: There is disclosed a sealed edge insert suitable for placement within a seat of an automotive vehicle. The insert includes multiple layers, one of which includes a heater for providing an occupant of the seat with warmth. The insert also includes an air mover (e.g., a fan) for providing ventilation to the seat occupant. Further, the insert includes an extension that extends to a backside of a cushion component of the seat for attachment to provide fluid communication from the insert to the air mover.

Abstract: An arterially measured pressure signal is continuously read in and temporarily stored in the working memory (RAM). The function p(t) is processed by the central processing unit (CPU), to calculate the heart/time volume PCCO and other hemodynamic parameters. The calculation comprises the following steps: The systemic vascular resistance SVRk is calculated for the current pulse period. The stroke volume SVk is numerically determined from the pressure values of a pulse period, according to the following equation: SV k ? ? ( p i ? ( t ) SVR k + C k ? ( p i ) ? ? p i ? t ) with the compliance C(p)=(MAP?CVP)k/[SVR·<dp/dt>k]·ƒ(p). The difference between the mean arterial pressure MAP and the central venous pressure CVP, and the mean incline of the pressure curve in the diastole <dp/dt>, are re-determined for the current pulse period. The heart/time volume calculated in the current pulse period results from PCCOk=SVk·HR.
