Abstract: A Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) and cellular system to provide backhaul satellite communications for a cellular base station are disclosed. The VSAT including an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) Core Network (CN) device; and a satellite modem connected to the EPC CN device and to communicate over a satellite link, wherein the EPC CN device manages communication of user traffic from the cellular base station to the satellite modem.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for at least holding an object with a crane having a bridge spanning between and movable on the spaced apart rails, an upper platform movable longitudinally on the bridge, and a hoist mounted to the platform, the hoist having a rope and a lifting member disposed at a remote end of the rope. The method includes engaging and moving a positioner to a selected location on the bridge or the upper platform using the hoist; securing the positioner to the bridge at the selected location or the upper platform; securing the positioner to an object; holding the object with the positioner; releasing the object from the positioner; releasing the positioner from the bridge or the upper platform; and engaging and moving the positioner away from the selected location on the bridge or the upper platform using the hoist.

Abstract: A method includes performing, by a processor: providing a database that contains records corresponding to a plurality of drug product packaging systems, the records in the database being accessible through a common database management system, receiving a packaging order for at least one drug product, evaluating at least one criterion for fulfilling the packaging order, and identifying one of the plurality of drug product packaging systems to package the at least one drug product based on evaluating the at least one criterion.

Abstract: A method of verifying battery and/or equipment connections in a telecommunications site includes performing maintenance or installation of one or more components in a shelter associated with the telecommunication site; subsequent to the maintenance or installation, adding a torque mark to each connection associated with the one or more components; verifying the torque mark for each connection as part of a close-out audit; and verifying the torque mark at a subsequent time after the close-out audit to verify each connection is properly torqued.

Abstract: A system and method for association of remote nodes with respective aggregation nodes in a high capacity shared bandwidth communications network, is provided. A gateway receives an association request message from a terminal device, wherein the association request message includes a service signature and service parameters of the terminal device. The gateway determines whether the association request message reflects a valid request based on the service signature. The gateway determines service requirements of the terminal device, based on a correspondence between the service parameters and associated information of a service requirement database of the gateway. The gateway determines whether it is configured for servicing the service requirements of the terminal device. The gateway transmits an association accept message, including one or more association parameters.

Abstract: Automatic display unit backup during failures of one more display units through the utilization of graphic user interface objects defined for control transfer and reversion after resolution of the failures is provided herein. A system can comprise a memory operatively coupled to a processor that executes stored executable components comprising a first controller, a second controller, and a failure indication component that provides a first notification based on a first detection of a first failure at the second controller, and a second notification based on a second detection of a second failure at the first controller. Further, the executable components can comprise a control transfer component that automatically transfers control of a second display unit from the v controller to the first controller based on the first notification, or control of a first display unit from the first controller to the second controller based on the second notification.

Abstract: A collection management system includes a collection server, a telephone dialing system, and a restriction features server. The collection server includes a memory having records, a debtor database and a local restrictions database. The telephone dialing system is connected to the collection server and is configured to access a telephony network and automatically dial a plurality of telephone numbers. Access to the telephony network by the telephone dialing system is restricted based on the information in the local restrictions database. The records of the collection server retain instances of restricted access to the telephony network by the telephone dialing system. The restriction features server is configured to connect to the collection server and update the restrictions database.

Abstract: An electrode/separator assembly for use in an electrochemical cell includes a current collector; a porous composite electrode layer adhered to the current collector, said electrode layer comprising at least electroactive particles and a binder; and a porous composite separator layer comprising inorganic particles substantially uniformly distributed in a polymer matrix to form nanopores and having a pore volume fraction of at least 25%, wherein the separator layer is secured to the electrode layer by a solvent weld at the interface between the two layers, said weld comprising a mixture of the binder and the polymer. Methods of making and using the assembly are also described.

Abstract: A cassette may include a channel with a lock tab disposed within the channel. Each cassette may be adapted to receive and secure any type of data cable and cable connector. A chassis may include an alignment slot and a key which may extend away from the alignment slot, and the key may have a key aperture. The cassette may be coupled within the alignment slot by inserting the key into the channel so that the lock tab and key aperture are engaged together. Preferably, the portion of the key having the key aperture may be movable away from the portion of the cassette having the lock tab to disengage the lock tab and key aperture so that the cassette is able to be uncoupled from the alignment slot.

Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure, an instrument for tensioning a surgical cable is provided that includes a rotary tensioner that is rotatable in a tensioning rotary direction to apply tension to the surgical cable. Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a system which includes a plurality of baccarat tables on which a baccarat game may be played by a plurality of players and a plurality of electronic player devices each playable by an individual player provides for selecting a plurality of outcomes which were dealt on at least one of the baccarat tables, determining whether a trend or pattern has developed in the plurality of outcomes (e.g., a pattern of at least a predetermined length) and, if a pattern has developed, activating a wagering opportunity on one of the electronic player devices, the wagering opportunity allowing a player to bet for or against the trend. In one embodiment, each outcome of the plurality of selected outcomes comprises an outcome originally dealt on the same baccarat table.

Abstract: A system for transferring torque with zero lash from a driver to a driven object is provided. The system includes a shaft disposed about a rotational axis and a hub defining a bore that receives the shaft. The shaft and hub are each configured for coupling to one of the driver and driven object. The shaft defines a flat on a radially outer surface and the hub defines a flat on a radially inner surface opposing the flat in the shaft. In one embodiment, the shaft includes a threaded bore and the hub includes an aligned through bore. Rotation of a threaded fastener in the bores draws the flat into engagement. In another embodiment, the hub includes a threaded through bore. Rotation of a fastener extending through the bore and engaging the shaft diametrically opposite the flats urges the flats into engagement.

Abstract: A system carried by a vehicle for computing tolls that interfaces with vehicle data entry and display components. The system uses these components to display toll-related information and to accept user input for toll-related information. The system may also incorporate vehicle sensors including seat occupancy sensors, infra-red sensors and cameras to determine vehicle occupancy for tolling purposes.

Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a system for facilitating a card game is equipped with RFID antennas or interrogators operable to detect initial wagers placed by players on a table surface of the system. The system is further equipped with an electronic shoe which deals cards for the game and a processor with is operable to receive data both from the RFID antennas and the electronic shoe. Upon receiving data from an RFID antenna that a player has placed an initial wager based on initial odds and receiving data identifying some (but not all) cards dealt for a hand, the processor is operable to calculate adjusted odds for a re-characterization wager that would replace the initial wager, and output on a display of the system an offer for the re-characterization wager that corresponds to adjusted odds.

Abstract: A vesical pressure measurement system is provided. One or more elements of the system are operably combinable with a previously deployed urinary drainage catheter. The system includes a urodynamic data system and a urinary drainage catheter balloon adaptor. The data system is characterized by a pressure sensor for vesical pressure measurement, and a processor/controller for receiving, processing and/or displaying select urodynamic patient parameters comprising sensed/monitored pressure data. The adaptor operably unites the pressure sensor of the data system to a balloon inflation valve of the catheter. The adaptor includes an adaptor valve for connection to the balloon inflation valve, and a housing, the housing including a balloon inflation valve portion and an adaptor valve portion, the portions urgingly uniteable in furtherance of establishing and maintaining a secure interface between the balloon inflation valve and the adaptor valve.
