Abstract: Lighting systems and methods for providing biologically optimized illumination throughout the day are disclosed. Systems and methods of providing LED light engines and associated illumination spectrums that are both visually appealing, rich in melanopic flux and that reduce blue light hazard exposure are disclosed. Embodiments of the invention relating to specific spectra of illumination containing high or low amounts of melanopic light, spectrally and spatially tunable LED lighting systems, programmed and automated controllers for temporally controlling bio-effective illumination, and dimming circuitry for tuning the spectral output of lighting devices are also disclosed.

A block with multiple embodiments of a visually exposed surface having three dimensional shaped areas and three dimensional angular valleys or joints that can be used to construct a patio, wall, fence or the like; the multiple embodiments creating a more random and natural appearance. Abstract: Various embodiments of a heat-exchange dryer apparatus are disclosed. In one embodiment, a heat-exchange dryer apparatus includes a desiccant cartridge comprising desiccant material, a purge-air reservoir secured to the desiccant cartridge, and a compressed-air conduit disposed inside the purge-air reservoir. In another embodiment, a vehicle air-brake system includes an air compressor, a desiccant cartridge comprising desiccant material, and a heat exchange dryer apparatus disposed between the compressor and the desiccant. The temperature of the compressed air is decreased while the temperature of the purge air is increased and the desiccant adsorbs a greater amount of contaminants form the compressed air for improved drying.
Abstract: A system and method for integrating a vehicular camera system is disclosed. A threshold value for metadata of one or more sensor devices and the vehicular camera system positioned in a first carrier vehicle is determined. Captured metadata is processed to determine whether the threshold value is exceeded, and a plurality of images is captured by one or more cameras of the vehicular camera system for a predetermined period, in response to exceeding the threshold value for metadata of the one or more sensor devices. The plurality of metadata is linked with each image from the plurality of captured images by matching the collection time of the metadata with the collection time for each image from the plurality of captured images, and a first image selected from the plurality of captured images is communicated along with the metadata linked to the first image, to at least one electronic device.
Abstract: A hand hygiene system is disclosed. According to one embodiment, the hand hygiene system includes a hand sanitizer dispensing unit that dispenses a hand sanitizer, a shared electronic device in communication with the hand sanitizer dispensing unit and a manual override device. The hand sanitizer dispensing unit transmits an activation signal to the shared electronic device. The shared electronic device reduces resistance to access to the shared electronic device, upon receipt of the activation signal from the hand sanitizer dispensing unit. The manual override device allows access to the shared electronic device independent of the activation signal of the hand sanitizer dispensing unit. The manual override device also provides greater resistance to access the shared electronic device than provided from the receipt of the activation signal.
Abstract: A valve includes at least one of an electrical port adapted to receive an electronic control signal and a pneumatic control port adapted to receive a pneumatic control signal. The valve also includes a pneumatic delivery port. The pneumatic delivery port is adapted to transmit a pneumatic fluid, based on the at least one of the received electronic control signal and the received pneumatic control signal, from a second independent source to control i) a second associated service brake and ii) delivery of the pneumatic fluid from a first independent source to control a first associated service brake.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention is a system to maximize efficiency as a mobile terminal receives data signals transmitted through multiple satellite spot beams. The multiple spot beams can be broadcast via a single satellite or multiple satellites. As a mobile terminal travels throughout a region, the system determines which spot beam would delivers data in the most efficient manner possible. This system takes into account multiple factors, including but not limited to velocity of the mobile terminal, traffic within a spot beam, business affiliations, etc. Once the system takes into account the various factors, an embodiment of the present invention generates a relative weighted factor that is subsequently associated with various available spot beams. Based on rankings of the weighted factors associated with each spot beam, the system may choose to receive data from a different spot beam.

Abstract: A quick release stock assembly for a launcher is provided having a stock bar and a stock housing. The stock housing has a cavity sized to receive a pressurized canister, and a receiver to slidingly receive the stock bar about its length. Abstract: An improved device is disclosed for holding down textile the material on the platen of the digital printer. The device includes a textile gripping material formed to define a border band on the periphery of the platen. The border material has a structure that engages/grips the textile and hold the textile in place. In operation, the textile is laid onto the platen surface and the edges are pulled taut to align the textile and remove wrinkles and the textile is next pressed onto the border material to be engaged by the border material. The border material grips and holds the textile in position, to provide a smooth textile surface on which the ink jets are applied. After the printing operation, the textile is lifted off of the border material and removed from the platen.
