Abstract: An apparatus is provided for applying adhesive to a compressor liner having a longitudinal central axis. A first roller has a longitudinal central axis and has an outer circumferential surface which is immersed in adhesive in an adhesive sink. A second roller has a longitudinal central axis and is radially spaced apart from the first roller. The second roller has same outer diameter as the first roller and has an outer circumferential surface which is not immersed in adhesive in the adhesive sink. The first and second rollers cooperate to support the compressor liner for rotation about its longitudinal central axis. A drive mechanism includes a constant speed drive for rotating the first and second rollers about their longitudinal central axes at a constant rotational speed to allow a consistent weight and uniform layer of adhesive to be transferred from the first roller to the compressor liner.

Abstract: Methods of and systems for providing temperature data in a video stream are provided. The method includes receiving a video stream having a plurality of video frames with a first frame rate and receiving temperature data having a plurality of temperature frames with a slower second frame rate. To interlace the temperature data, a subset of temperature frames in the plurality of temperature frames can be extracted. The method further includes transmitting each temperature frame in the subset of temperature frames with the plurality of video frames in a data stream. The method may further include identifying missing data in the subset of temperature frames and correlating the missing data with the plurality of video frames. Based on the correlation of the missing data with the plurality of video frames, missing data can be provided to the subset of temperature frames to reconstruct the full plurality of temperature frames.

Abstract: A receiver is used with third code blocks based on first code blocks, second code blocks, and a planning code block. The first code blocks are associated with a first sequence number and modulated with a first modulation scheme. The second code blocks are associated with a second sequence number and modulated with a second modulation scheme. The planning code block associates the third code blocks with the first code blocks and the second code blocks. The receiver includes a de-multiplexing portion, which includes a code block selector and a look up table, that outputs a de-multiplexed signal based on the third code blocks. The code block selector selects a code block from the third code blocks to output as the de-multiplexed signal based on entries in the look up table. The receiver also includes a recovery portion that outputs received code blocks based on the de-multiplexed signal.
Abstract: An apparatus and method of using an apparatus for refacing a tubular connection is provided. In one example, the apparatus has a mandrel connectable to a threaded portion of a tubular connection and two face plates bearing cutters for refacing surfaces of the tubular connection. In this example, the cutting is controlled by an engaging nut moving along a threaded portion of a drive shaft, and the two face plates may be spaced apart at a fixed distance to maintain the distance between the torque-stop surface and the primary surface after refacing. Also, the apparatus uses a locking pin to assist in tightening or loosening the mandrel into place using the remainder of the apparatus. An air-oil system is provided to supply air and oil to the cutting surfaces as the apparatus refaces the shoulders of the connection. An exemplary pin refacer and an exemplary box refacer are both disclosed.
Abstract: Provided is a unit dose dental implant system for oral surgery that includes 1) an implant component, or simply “implant”; 2) an prosthetic abutment component, or simply “abutment”; 3) a healing abutment cap; 4) a locking screw; and 5) a plurality of tools. The implant and abutment are typically deployed in two stages. A first stage involves the surgical placement of the implant into the jaw of a patient. A second stage is a restorative procedure utilizing the abutment. Staging is used to allow patient healing and to allow boney growth to develop on the implant prior to the restorative procedure. The implant, abutment and the tools necessary for the procedures are provide in a sterile condition in a multi-stage container. The implant and the corresponding tools are provided in a first container and the abutment and corresponding tools are provided in a second container.

Abstract: Gas containment vessels are provided that are comprised of an inner corrosion resistant shell made of lower strength steel alloy or aluminum alloy or thermoplastic polymer, and an outer concentric shell constructed of high strength, albeit lower corrosion resistant, metal or fiber-reinforced composite. The fiber can comprise filaments derived from basaltic rocks, the filaments having been immersed in a thermosetting or thermoplastic polymer matrix, and commingled with carbon, glass or aramid fibers such that there is load sharing between the basaltic fibers and carbon, glass or aramid fibers.
Abstract: A dual-mode exercise apparatus may include an articulating arm assembly coupled through a joint to a support assembly. In an illustrative embodiment, the arm assembly may include a seat centrally mounted above a ball-and-socket joint and a stabilizer member for the hands and/or feet of the user. In a first mode of operation a user sits on the seat and uses his or her core muscles to articulate the seat on the ball-and-socket joint against the resistance provided by, for instance, weights mounted on distal portions of the arm assembly. In certain embodiments the apparatus may further provide a second mode of operation which simulates rowing a kayak. In a corresponding illustrative embodiment a user sits in a second seat positioned rearward of the arm assembly and the arm assembly includes handle members. In operation the user articulates the handles in a manner akin to rowing a kayak.
Abstract: A corrosion prevention treatment of wet Fire Protection System (FPS) includes purging the pipes of O2 with an inert gas such as N2, followed by filling the pipes with deoxygenated water generated “on the fly” as the water enters a building, using one or more Gas Transfer Membrane (GTM) devices and N2 gas. The GTM device eliminates the need for a water reuse tank and its associated pipes, valves, recirculation regimen, and the like. Water is pumped directly from the building water supply to a GTM device, where it is deoxygenated to very low O2 levels—such as below 300 ppb (parts per billion). The deoxygenated water then flows directly into the O2-purged pipes of the FPS. When the FPS is drained for testing or repair, the deoxygenated water may be discharged, and replaced, upon return to service of the FPS, with water freshly deoxygenated from the building supply as the FPS piping is filled.
