Abstract: The invention relates to a brake-booster comprising a casing (10) within which is found a piston structure which, with the help of an unrolling membrane (12), defines a front chamber (16) permanently connected to a partial vacuum source by a valve (17) and a back chamber (16) selectively connected to the front chamber (16) or to the atmosphere via a valve means (34) when a control rod (30) is actuated, and a device (36) for fastening the booster on a wall (38) adjacent to a first face of the casing (10). According to the invention, apertures (50, 60) are made in the piston structure (14) and in a second face of the casing (10) and are aligned in the axial direction of the booster so as to permit the actuation of the fastening device (36) through the aperture (60) made in the second face of the casing (10).

Abstract: The process makes it possible to modify the content of a sequence of images which can be represented as a pixel matrix. For that a non-deformable target zone to be replaced in the images is identified and is characterized, both in position and in dimensions, by reference to marks located close to each other and having an unchanging geometrical relation with the target zone in each image. The position, with respect to the marks, to be assigned to a model or pattern which can be superimposed on the target zone, stored in digital form, is determined. For each particular image of a same shot the geometrical transformation to be carried out on the model so that it corresponds to variations in the appearance of the target zone in all the successive images in the same shot is determined automatically by a correlation based on the marks. Last the pixels representative of the model are substituted for the pixels representative of the target zone in the image.
Abstract: A process for shaping a blade edge and coating the: blade edge to improve the properties thereof is provided. The process includes an ion etching step using a collimated beam to reduce microcracks and an ion assisted processing step wherein ions are used to enhance the properties of a coating. The blade can then be sharpened again. The blade can be made from materials such as metal, ceramic of glass-ceramic.

Abstract: An apparatus for lifting a tire comprising a pair of members. The members are supported for relative sliding movement. Throughout the relative sliding movement, respective portions of the members are maintained in an orthogonal relationship. An actuator is operably connected with each of said members for relatively moving the members from a first position, incapable of lifting the tire, to a second position, capable of lifting the tire, upon actuation.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a friction member comprising a support plate (26, 30) and a friction element (22, 24) arranged on one side of the support plate 26, 30), the friction element (22, 24) being adapted to engage one face of a rotating member (12), and at least one wear indicator (32) associated with the support plate (26, 30) so as to generate an audible signal when the friction element (22, 24) possesses, on account of its wear, a predetermined thickness (L). According to the invention, the wear indicator (32) is formed by a spring comprising an intermediate part (34) for fixing of the wear indicator (32) onto the support plate (26, 30) on the side of the latter which bears the friction element (22, 24), a first end part (36) for emission of the audible signal and a second end part (40, 50, 36') for locking of the wear indicator (32) in rotation with respect to the support plate (26, 30).
Abstract: A cartridge has a multiple casing comprising an outer casing (1) with a front end piece (2) for receiving an application nozzle and an annular rear thrust wall (4) mounted slidingly in the outer casing (1), and at least one inner casing (5) with a front end piece (6) extending inside the end piece (2) of the outer casing (1) and a disc-shaped rear thrust wall. Shoulders and rib (8, 14, 16) for connecting the two outer (1) and inner (5) casings together ensures their mutual locking in axial and radial positions. A drive assembly is structured like the cartridge. The invention is well suited to the application of sealing resins.
