Abstract: There is described an electronic assembly comprising a structure and a printed circuit board (PCB) connected to the structure to form a duct. The PCB has a first side arranged to receive one or more heat-generating components, and a second side. The PCB comprises one or more apertures formed therein. The electronic assembly further comprises airflow generating means arranged to generate an airflow along the duct and along the second side of the PCB such that air is forced through the one or more apertures. By forming a duct beneath a PCB and allowing air to be forced through apertures formed in the PCB, more efficient cooling of components on the PCB may be achieved. For example, the position of the apertures may be tailored such that specific components, or specific parts of components, may be exposed to airflow through the apertures.

Abstract: Device for placement of a self-expanding endoprosthesis, extending between a proximal end and a distal end. An outer sheath (1) is able to keep an endoprosthesis (21) in radial contraction. A mandrel (4), which extends axially inside the outer sheath, is movable axially with respect to the outer sheath and has, at its distal end (3), a chamber (2) able to receive an endoprosthesis (21) in radial contraction, the chamber being delimited at its distal end by an atraumatic tip (6) which can occlude the outer sheath. The atraumatic tip (6) is made of elastomer material that forms a thin-walled inflatable chamber (10) which can be inflated by a pressure insufficient to widen a channel intended to receive the prosthesis, and into which there leads a lumen (9) extending from the distal end to the proximal end of the mandrel for passage of an inflation fluid.
Abstract: The invention relates to a rubber composition based on at least one diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler, a chemical crosslinker and a modifier selected from compounds comprising at least one group Q, and at least one group A, which are joined to one another by at least one and preferably one spacer group Sp, wherein: Q comprises a dipole containing at least one and preferably one nitrogen atom, A comprises an associative group comprising at least one nitrogen atom, Sp is an atom or group of atoms forming a bond between Q and A. This composition has an improved balance between stiffness under moderate deformations/elongation at break and improved hysteresis properties and is therefore especially suited to the manufacture of tires for enhancing the trade off between rolling resistance and resistance to large deformations.

Abstract: A hand held power tool, for delivering a torque to a joint, includes a housing that houses a motor arranged to drive an input shaft; an output shaft arranged to provide a torque to the joint; and a planetary gear connecting the input shaft to the output shaft. A flywheel is arranged to rotate freely with respect to the housing. A cam block, loosely fitted inside the housing, is rotatively connected to a part of the planetary gear and connected to the housing via a cam profile, wherein an interaction between the cam block and the cam profile will force the cam block into contact with the flywheel when the cam block is rotated. Thus, any counterforces acting on the output shaft will be provided to the flywheel via the planetary gear, such that the operator will not need to provide any counterforces.

Abstract: Provided is a producing method for metal microparticles for which the particle diameter is controlled. At least two types of fluids to be processed are used, and at least one of those fluids to be processed is a metallic solution wherein a metal and/or metallic compound is dissolved in a solvent. Of the fluids to be processed other than the above, at least one is a reducing agent fluid that includes a reducing agent. The fluids to be processed are mixed in a thin film fluid created between at least two processing surfaces (1, 2) which are disposed to face each other and can be brought closer or separated, at least one face rotating relative to the other, and metal microparticles for which the particle diameter is controlled are precipitated out. At that time, the particle diameter of the metal microparticles is controlled by varying particular conditions for at least one of the metallic solution and the reducing agent fluid introduced between the processing surfaces (1, 2).
Abstract: Particular embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatus for deforming a tire sidewall. Such methods include the step of providing a tire having at least one sidewall connected to a corresponding bead. A further step includes constraining at least one of the sidewall and bead from moving laterally toward the other. Yet another step of such methods includes engaging the sidewall with an inclined member. Another step of such methods includes moving at lest one of the sidewall and bead in a lateral direction away from the other until the sidewall is laterally deformed into a laterally deformed configuration.
