Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for active queue management. A method for active queue management occurs at a network test system (NTS). The method includes transmitting, by a test packet generator and during a test session, a test packet to a system under test (SUT); receiving queue performance information associated with a SUT queue related to the test packet; generating, utilizing the queue performance information, control signaling information usable for controlling the test packet generator; and controlling the test packet generator using the control signaling information.
Abstract: A robot moves about an environment and may interact with a user. A waypoint specifies where the robot is to move to with respect to the user while a proxemic cost map is used to plan the path to the waypoint. User input or preferences may be used to modify the waypoint or the proxemic cost map. The waypoint may specify a particular distance and bearing with respect to the user. The proxemic cost map may be oriented with respect to the user and specifies costs for particular areas. For example, an area immediately behind the user may have a very high cost while an area in front of the user may have a low cost. Based on the waypoint and the proxemic cost map, a path is selected and the robot moves along that path, avoiding the high cost areas in favor of the low cost areas if possible.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for determining settings and parameters for presenting media content based on input data from a surrounding environment. Example methods may include determining input data such as time and brightness in an environment, determining adjusted content settings based on the input data, and causing an electronic device to adjust content settings for presenting the media content based on the input data. For example, the adjusted content settings may involve audio and/or visual settings. The systems and methods may also gradually transition the content settings based on an impending change in the environment.
Abstract: An inferential user matching system can determine a mutual interest between a first user and a second user. Based on determining the mutual interest, the system can transmit an expression of interest indication to a portable device(s) of the first and/or second user.

Abstract: A tonneau cover for covering the opening of a cargo bed of a pickup truck. The tonneau cover includes a sandwich panel including a structural core, a first layered section, and a second layered section. The structural core has a top surface and a bottom surface. The first layered section is coupled to the top surface of the structural core, and a second layered section is coupled to the bottom surface of the structural core. Each of the first and second layered sections includes a reinforcement layer, and at least one of the reinforcement layers of the first and second layered sections is a carbon fiber mat. The tonneau cover may have a single panel configuration or a tri-panel configuration.
Abstract: Aspects of a storage device including a memory and a controller are provided. The memory includes a first partition having multiple dies as channels that are allocated to one or more zones. The controller may receive a write command and data from a host device, in which the write command indicates to write the data to a first zone. The controller may perform a write operation that writes received data to one or more of the plurality of dies that are allocated to a first zone. The controller may transfer the data from the first zone to a second partition in the memory that is associated with the first zone, when the storage device and the host device are in idle states. Thus, the controller can reduce the amount of overprovisioning of memory block allocation to small-sized zones, thereby improving the memory capacity and utilization of the storage device.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for performing analytics for equine-related conditions from fetlock sensors include receiving sensor data from one or more sensors attached to one or more fetlock wearable devices. Each of the one or more fetlock wearable devices are configured to attach to a fetlock of a respective limb of a horse. The analytics system compares the sensor data to one or more baseline measurement values. The analytics system detects a condition responsive to comparing the sensor data to one or more baseline measurement values. The analytics system transmits an alert to one or more remote devices responsive to detecting the condition.

Abstract: A fire retardant material includes a deconstructed nanoporous material including a plurality of elements, and solids of a fire-retarding solution within the elements of the nanoporous material. A method of forming the fire retardant material includes combining a nanoporous material and a fire-retarding solution such that elements of the nanoporous material absorb the fire retarding solution, and evaporating liquid from the elements of the nanoporous material having the fire-retarding solution absorbed therein such that a concentrate or solids thereof remain within the elements of the nanoporous material.
Abstract: A system and method for distributed settlement of a transaction among a plurality of participants without smart contracts is disclosed. The method utilizes a system that includes: a plurality of blockchains each having a plurality of nodes; and a coordinator for transferring messages between the nodes and maintaining status values so that all operations of the transaction are either committed or rolled back. The method includes: receiving a request for the transaction generated from one of the participants; posting the transaction request on a billboard; reading the transaction request by the nodes from the billboard; synchronizing among the participants; receiving transaction votes from the participants to either commit or roll back the request; and executing the transaction based on the transaction votes by either committing transaction or rolling back the request.
Abstract: A manufacturing method of a semiconductor structure includes: providing a base; forming multiple bit line structures on the base, where the multiple bit line structures are parallel to each other and extend in a first direction, and a trench is formed between adjacent bit line structures; forming a first conductive layer in the trench, where a void is formed in the first conductive layer; removing a part of the first conductive layer to form a first groove, where the bottom of the first groove exposes the void; forming an epitaxial layer on an inner wall of the first groove; and allowing the epitaxial layer to epitaxially grow to form an extension portion, such that the extension portion fills the void.

Abstract: A power plant through which motive fluid flows including a vapor turbine into which motive fluid vapor is introduced and expanded so that power is produced, and a horizontal air-cooled condenser (ACC) for receiving and condensing the expanded motive fluid discharged from said vapor turbine. The condenser includes a plurality of mutually parallel and spaced condenser tubes across which air for condensing the motive fluid flows that are disposed at an angle of inclination with respect to a horizontal plane of at least 5 degrees, such that accumulated liquid condensate is evacuated by gravitational forces.
Abstract: An anti-rotation device for a pair of threaded components includes a pair of ratchet interfaces and a spring element. A first ratchet interface and the spring element are movably disposed within a first threaded component, and a second ratchet interface is disposed at a mating end of a second threaded component. During relative rotation of the pair of threaded components, the ratchet interfaces engage, providing a resistance to the threaded components loosening that is greater than a resistance that the ratchet interfaces provide to the threaded components tightening. The anti-rotation device engages automatically upon relative rotation of the threaded components, and not as a separate step occurring after rotation. Additionally, the anti-rotation device may be especially useful in systems where various types of movement can cause the threaded components to loosen, and where visual access to the anti-rotation device is impeded.
