Abstract: Described are systems and techniques configured to provide a user interface for an unauthenticated user of a materials handling facility. A transient profile indicative of one or more user preferences may be created and associated with the unauthenticated user. As the unauthenticated user interacts with the facility, preferences may be determined and included in the transient profile. Subsequent operation of the facility may take into account the transient profile. As the unauthenticated user moves throughout the facility, the transient profile may “follow” them, providing an ongoing user experience. Should the unauthenticated user later be authenticated, the transient preferences may be incorporated into a persistent profile.

Abstract: A semiconductor structure is provided. The semiconductor structure includes: a substrate having a cavity recessed from a top surface of the substrate toward a bottom surface of the substrate opposite to the top surface, wherein the cavity has a sidewall and a bottom surface, and the bottom surface of the cavity is substantially parallel to the top surface of the substrate; a light source structure in the cavity, and the light source structure emitting a light from a sidewall of the light source structure; and a diffractive optical element (DOE) over the top surface of the substrate; wherein the sidewall of the cavity is a sloped surface, so that when the light is incident on the sidewall, the sloped surface reflects the incident light to generate a reflected light toward the DOE. Abstract: Systems and method for managing human interactions is described. An integrated system may receive dataset from multiple disparate sources. The received dataset may be processed by corresponding data processing engines and transformed into textual dataset by respective adapters in the integrated system. The textual dataset may be further processed and transformed into unified dataset by components in integrated system. For instance, such processing may include analysis based on comprehension, context of the interaction, etc. Based on further analysis, the unified dataset may be classified and highlighted into items that may correspond to action items, follow ups, questions or any other important information, insights provided or regenerated based on an analysis from the human interactions. Further insights provided based on the analysis may correspond to outcomes in response to the processing and analysis by the components in integrated system.

Abstract: A mechanical arm includes a body and an operating arm. The operating arm includes a connector connected to the body, as well as a first adapting part and a second adapting part which are connected to the connector. The first adapting part is configured to mount a first operating mechanism for opening and closing the socket. The second adapting part is configured to mount a second operating mechanism for grabbing and releasing a semiconductor device. After the first adapting part drives the first operating mechanism to open the socket, the second adapting part is able to drive the second operating mechanism to put the semiconductor device into the socket or take the semiconductor device out from the socket.

Abstract: The invention discloses a highly integrated analyte detection system, including: a bottom case; a sensor structure, the sensor structure includes a sensor and a sensor base, the sensor includes a signal output end and a detection end, and at least two first electrical connection areas insulated from each other are provided on the surface of the signal output end; and a transmitter, the transmitter and the bottom case are fastened with each other, and the transmitter is provided with second electrical connection areas, which are insulated from each other, corresponding to the first electrical connection areas, each second electrical connection area is electrically connected to the corresponding first electrical connection area. Such a design reduces the height of the sensor structure, making the overall structure of the detection system more compact, as a result, reducing the volume and enhancing the user experience.

Abstract: An image view angle conversion method includes: model training data are obtained, the model training data including planar images of a training object at a plurality of different view angles and labels corresponding to respective view angles, where the labels corresponding to the different view angles are different. A pre-designed generative adversarial network model is trained according to the model training data to obtain a view angle conversion network model. A planar image of a target object and labels corresponding to one or more expected view angles of the target object are input into the view angle conversion network model, so that the view angle conversion network model generates planar images of the target object at the expected view angles.

Abstract: Disclosed are treatment methods, protocols, and compositions of matter useful for treatment of kidney failure. The invention discloses, in one embodiment, administration of immune cells that have been reprogrammed by co-culture with regenerative cells. In one embodiment said regenerative cells are umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cells and said immune cells are peripheral blood mononuclear cells. In one embodiment cells are cultured together in the presence of interleukin 2 and/or an mTOR inhibitor. In one embodiment said cells are cultured together in the presence of an anti-CD3 and/or anti-CD28 antibody.

It takes only one insertion to perform both analyte detection and drug infusion.

Abstract: Devices and techniques are generally described for translation compression. In various examples, first text comprising at least one word composed in a first language may be determined. In some examples, first data that indicates a target language for translation may be received. First symbol data representing an encoded translation of the first text in the target language may be retrieved from memory. A symbol decoder may be determined for decoding the first symbol data. Second text may be generated by inputting the first symbol data into the symbol decoder. The second text may represent a translation of the first text into the target language. In various examples, the second text may be output as video and/or audio.

Abstract: Switching techniques for fast voltage settling in image sensors are described. In one embodiment, an image sensor includes a plurality of lateral overflow integrating capacitor (LOFIC) pixels arranged in rows and columns of a pixel array. The plurality of pixels includes an active pixel configured for exposure to light, and a dummy pixel at least partially protected from exposure to light. A common bitline (BL) is couplable to the active pixel and the dummy pixel. A comparator (OA1) is coupled to the bitline. The comparator is configured to receive a pixel voltage (Vx) from the active pixel on one input and a ramp voltage (Vy) on another input. Charge accumulated by the active pixel is determined at least in part by an intersection between the ramp voltage and the pixel voltage.

Abstract: A delay locked loop circuit includes: a variable delay line configured to delay an initial clock signal to generate a delayed clock signal; and a control circuit connected to the variable delay line, configured to control the variable delay line to perform delay adjustment of a first mode and further configured to perform delay adjustment of a second mode on the variable delay line when the delayed clock signal satisfies a preset condition. Abstract: A system and method for file type identification involving extraction of a file-print of a file, the file-print being a unique or practically-unique representation of statistical characteristics associated with the distribution of bits in the binary contents of the file, similar to a fingerprint. The file-print is then passed to a machine learning algorithm that has been trained to recognize file types from their file-prints. The machine learning algorithm returns a predicted file type and, in some cases, a probability of correctness of the prediction. The file may then be encoded using an encoding algorithm chosen based on the predicted file type.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are disclosed for automated container shaking systems. In one embodiment, an example container shaking system may include a first support disposed at a first side of a first container slot, a second support disposed at a second side of the first container slot, and a first moveable platform disposed on the first support and the second support. The first moveable platform may be configured to slide on the first support and the second support, and the first moveable platform may be configured to receive a first container. The system may include a first actuator coupled to the first moveable platform, the first actuator configured to push and pull the first moveable platform, and an optional first sensor configured to detect an item deposited into the first container. Feedback from the first sensor may optionally be used to trigger the first actuator.

Abstract: An autonomous mobile device (AMD) includes a telescoping mast with sensors on top that are connected to a cable running through the mast. An inner section of the mast includes a bobbin that secures cables. The bobbin has a shaft and features that guide cables to helically wind around the shaft. The bobbin reduces stress on the cable as the mast moves. The mast is lifted by a rack that includes a portion with teeth and a portion without. The portion with teeth is driven by a motor. The portion without teeth connects the rack to a spool. The toothless section reduces stress on the toothed portion of the rack as it spools or unspools. The AMD includes a hinge to tilt a display. To securely position the hinge on a shaft, the shaft is spun after assembly so that a push nut cuts a retention groove in the shaft.
