Patent number: 11233844Abstract: Objects in a content delivery network are modified at delivery to users. Individual content servers include copies of the content objects and receive requests from users for a copy of the object. The request includes a program from the content provider on how the content object is to be modified at delivery to the user. The program is executed on delivery of the object to provide the user with a modified content object. Modification can occur as the content is delivered from the content server to the user.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2016Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: AMAZON TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Nicholas J. Patent number: 11232636Abstract: AR engines modify a picture or video of the real world to include more than simply real world content. The modified image/frame content is passed along to one or multiple downstream AR engines which treat the content as original input. Modifications to images/frames may include the addition of virtual markers. Virtual markers may be visual content of virtual origin that is added to an image or frame. A virtual marker may trigger a predetermined reaction from a downstream AR engine when that downstream AR engine processes the modified content. For example, a virtual marker added to an image by an upstream AR engine may trigger a downstream AR engine to output a particular augmentation. The virtual marker may have a known meaning to both the upstream AR engine and the downstream AR engine. Accordingly, there may be “collaboration” among AR engines and a reduction in the processing requirements of downstream and overall image processing.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2019Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: EDX TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventor: Roger Ray Skidmore

Patent number: 11230568Abstract: The subject invention pertains to a modified MC1R peptide ligand comprising a peptide that is a melanocortin 1 receptor (MC1R) ligand and a functionality or linker, such as a click functionality, for conjugation to a surface or agent. The modified MC1R peptide ligand can be coupled, e.g., via a click reaction with a complementary click functionality attached, to a moiety to form an MC1R-targeted agent. Drugs, contrast agents, polymers, particles, micelles, surfaces of larger structures, or other moieties can be targeted to the MC1R. The subject invention also pertains to a MC1R peptide ligand-micelle complex comprising a peptide that is a melanocortin 1 receptor ligand connected via a click reaction product to a micelle. The micelle is stable in vivo and can target melanoma tumor cells by association of the peptide ligand with the MC1R or the tumor and selectively provide a detectable and/or therapeutic agent (such as an imageable contrast agent and/or anti-cancer agent) selectively to the tumor cell.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2019Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignees: H. Patent number: 11226067Abstract: An autonomous mobile device with an extensible mast to raise and lower a payload, such as a camera, relative to a main body. The mast comprises a set of telescoping sections. A motor moves a flexible rack between a first spool and the mast to raise or lower the mast. For example, during extension a motor-driven pinion engages teeth on the flexible rack, pulling the rack from the first spool and pushing up the mast. A cable stored on a second spool may be extended and retracted with the flexible rack. The cable transfers one or more of data or power between the main body and the payload. A mechanism provides for sequenced deployment of the mast, with the innermost section moving first. While raising the mast, the mechanism engages between adjacent telescoping sections, locking them in place. While lowering the mast, the mechanism selectively releases section by section.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2019Date of Patent: January 18, 2022Assignee: AMAZON TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Mark John Glusker, Christine Leonore Fuller, Ketan A.
