  • Patent number: 9537880
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for network monitoring, user account compromise determination, and user behavior database system. The system monitors network actions of user accounts including user account access across multitudes of network accessible systems, determines user account transitions, and determines different types of high-risk user behavior indicative of compromise. Network actions can be obtained from generated information by the network accessible systems, and correlated across additional data sets including contextual ones. User interfaces are generated describing network actions of user accounts, and are configured for user interaction, which cause generation of updated user interfaces and access to electronic data sources to determine information relevant to the user interaction.

  • Publication number: 20160380532
Abstract: Methods and systems for generating voltages greater than a supply voltage are described. A charge pump system may generate a boosted output voltage greater than the supply voltage using one or more charge pump stages that are arranged in series between the supply voltage and the boosted output voltage. The charge pump system may include clock freezing circuitry that eliminates glitches in clock signals used for driving the one or more charge pump stages. In one example, the clock freezing circuitry may freeze a clock signal that drives a charge pump stage (i.e., prevent the clock signal from switching) when a feedback flag of the charge pump system is in a disable state (e.g., is low). When the feedback flag is in an enable state (e.g., is high), then the clock signal may toggle between a high state and a low state.

  • Publication number: 20160376590
Abstract: The invention is directed to compositions and methods for selectively reducing the expression of a gene product from a desired target gene in a cell, as well as for treating diseases caused by the expression of the gene. More particularly, the invention is directed to compositions that contain double stranded RNA (“dsRNA”), and methods for preparing them, that are capable of reducing the expression of target genes in eukaryotic cells. The dsRNA has a first oligonucleotide sequence that is between 25 and about 30 nucleotides in length and a second oligonucleotide sequence that anneals to the first sequence under biological conditions. In addition, a region of one of the sequences of the dsRNA having a sequence length of at least 19 nucleotides is sufficiently complementary to a nucleotide sequence of the RNA produced from the target gene to trigger the destruction of the target RNA by the RNAi machinery.

  • Patent number: 9528929
Abstract: A method using Infrared Imaging Polarimetry for detecting the presence of foreign fluids on water comprises estimating an expected polarization response for a foreign fluid desired to be detected. Oil from an oil spill is one such foreign fluid. An optimal position of a polarimeter to take images of the water's surface is determined from the expected polarization response. The polarimeter is positioned at the optimal position and records raw image data of the water's surface to obtain polarized images of the area. The polarized images are corrected, and IR and polarization data products are computed. The IR and polarization data products are converted to multi-dimensional data set to form multi-dimensional imagery. Contrast algorithms are applied to the multi-dimensional imagery to form enhanced contrast images, from which foreign fluids can be automatically detected.
