Abstract: An insulated duct includes an inflatable jacket surround the duct. The jacket is inflated, preferably with air traveling in the duct, to create a static condition in the air space formed by the jacket to provide additional insulation for the duct. When the jacket is combined with additional insulation and low emissivity material, the R value of the duct can be increased in a more efficient manner from manufacturing and cost viewpoints.

Abstract: A data storage system including memory configured to store content, a host configured to determine time to next data information based on the content stored in the memory, and a data storage device including a controller. The controller can be configured to receive the time to next data information from the host, select a power mode for the data storage device from a plurality of power modes for the data storage device based on the time to next data information, and place the data storage device in the selected power mode. The host can be configured to transmit the time to next data information to the data storage device.
Abstract: A client requests access to a resource (e.g., a file) via a node of a storage system. The resource is stored in a directory structure. A directory in the directory structure that includes the resource and that does not have any locks that conflict with the requested access to the resource is identified and selected. A revocable access privilege (e.g., a lock) on the selected directory is awarded to the node accessed by the client, and a directory-to-node association is established. Another association between the requested resource and the node is also established. If there is a subsequent request for the resource or for another resource within that directory, then a revoke notice for the directory access privilege is sent to the node.
Abstract: A tunable resonator includes at least one tunable capacitor coupled with at least one tunable inductor. The tunable resonator includes a mechanical tuning mechanism coupled with a connecting bridge and with first and second electrodes of the tunable inductor. The mechanical tuning mechanism also moves the first and second electrodes of the tunable inductor relative to an electrode of the tunable capacitor, and providing a force down onto or to pull up a connecting bridge to tune the tunable inductor.
Abstract: Systems and methods for surveying electronic messages prior to widespread distribution-publishing are disclosed. The system includes a publisher and surveying server, specifying a parameter for subsequent publishing and compiling a notification list of participants in a given survey. The system further includes a notification server, messaging user agents and a feedback module, collecting information regarding interacting with the message and transmitting this information to the surveying server. The method includes composing a message, specifying at least one parameter for subsequent publishing, compiling a notification list of in a given survey, selectively notifying the message to the participants in the notification list, viewing the message notified to the participants in notification list and interacting with the message. The method further includes collecting feedback information regarding the interacting with the message and transmitting this information to the surveying server.
Abstract: A digitally compensated phase locked oscillator (DCPLO) is disclosed herein. The DCPLO comprises: a DCPLO input for receiving a reference signal at a known frequency; a DCPLO output for outputting a signal at a desired frequency; a phased locked loop (PLL), the phased locked loop comprising: a phase frequency detector, an oscillator, and a PLL output coupled to the output; a first direct digital synthesizer (DDS), the first DDS having an output coupled to the PLL to supply a DDS signal to the PLL for adjusting the frequency within the PLL so as to maintain phase lock over the operating temperature; a temperature sensor; and a processor coupled to the first DDS, the phase frequency detector, and the temperature sensor, the processor configured to set the frequency of the first DDS according to a temperature sensed by the temperature sensor.

Abstract: A method, terminal and secure RF communication system are provided. The method for radio frequency secure communication of the invention comprises: generating magnetic channel data, and transmitting the magnetic channel data via a magnetic channel; establishing a radio frequency link with a peer device which feeds back a response information of the magnetic channel data; generating first radio frequency data, encrypting the first radio frequency data using the magnetic channel data, and transmitting the encrypted first radio frequency data to the peer device via the radio frequency link; and/or receiving encrypted second radio frequency data transmitted by the peer device via the radio frequency link, and decrypting the encrypted second radio frequency data using the magnetic channel data. By the above technical solution, the invention avoids the risk that a preset key is intercepted or decrypted, and enhances the security of the radio frequency link data exchanging process.
Abstract: A lighting system includes a system controller, at least one light fixture, and at least one non-fixture system device. The system controller initiates automated commissioning by instructing a light fixture of the lighting system to modulate light output by the light fixture with a commissioning code. At least one system device of the lighting system receives the modulated light output and demodulates the received light output to determine the commissioning code. In response to determining the commissioning code, the at least one system device sends an acknowledgment message to the system controller. The system controller associates the system devices sending an acknowledgment message with the light fixture providing the light output modulated with the commissioning code.
Abstract: A user of a tag manager utilizes a tag manager to request creation of one or more zonal metadata tags. When the metadata tags are created, the tag manager updates a tag manager database to include information concerning the created metadata tags. Subsequently, the tag manager attempts to update a changes table within a discovery service database to include this information, the changes table usable by a discovery service to support regional and global tag queries. If the update of the changes table is initially unsuccessful, the tag manager may utilize a replicator to synchronize the tag manager database and the changes table when the discovery service database is once again available.
