    Abstract: An operating system for a circuit breaker includes a bail and a base that supports the circuit breaker and the bail. The bail extends around the circuit breaker and is pivotally attached to the base, such as by snap engagement. The bail and the base are made of an insulative plastic material such that the circuit breaker may vent hot gases, charged particles, plasma and the like without transferring charge to the operating system components. Additional features may be molded into the parts, such as supports and operators for auxiliary switches.

    Abstract: A system for adjusting the position of a circuit breaker is provided. The system allows for translation of the circuit breaker with respect to a support base and interfacing mechanisms, such as those that serve to switch the circuit breaker between its operative states. Adjustment is afforded by an adjustment plate fitted to the support base and that moves with the circuit breaker. Slots through the support base allow for movement of the plate and circuit breaker. A threaded member allows for continuous movement of the plate and circuit breaker for accurate positioning.

    Abstract: An apparatus including a ROM, an event detector, and a tamper detector. The ROM has BIOS contents stored as plaintext, and an encrypted digest. The encrypted digest is an encrypted version of a first digest corresponding to the BIOS contents. The event detector generates an interrupt that interrupts operation of the system upon occurrence of an event. The tamper detector is operatively coupled to the ROM and accesses the BIOS contents and the encrypted digest upon assertion of the interrupt, and directs a microprocessor to generate a second digest corresponding to the BIOS contents and a decrypted digest corresponding to the encrypted digest using the same algorithms and key that were employed to generate the first digest and the encrypted digest, and compares the second message digest with the decrypted message digest, and precludes the operation of the microprocessor if the second digest and the decrypted digest are not equal.

    Abstract: A dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion device of the present invention has high energy conversion efficiency, even if the amount of iodine added into the electrolyte solution is significantly reduced. The dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion device has a porous photoelectrode layer comprising dye-sensitized semiconductor particles, an electrolyte solution layer, and a counter electrode layer in order. The electrolyte solution layer comprises an electrolyte solution containing 0.05 to 5 M of an aliphatic quarternary ammonium ion, 0.05 to 5 M of an imidazolium ion, and 0.1 to 10 M of iodide ion. The ions are dissolved in an organic solvent. Consequently, the amount of iodine added into the electrolyte solution can be reduced significantly.
