Abstract: Disclosed is a portable electronic device, a sliding/rotation opening/closing module for the device, and parts thereof. The portable electronic device includes: a first body; a guide member, which is installed at the first body in such a manner that the guide member can rotate about a rotation axis member, and has a slide guide part; an interlocking member installed at between the first body and the guide member, the interlocking member interlocking relative movements of the first body and the guide member; a second body slidably installed at the slide guide part; a link device, which is installed between the guide member and the second lo body and has one side connected with the interlocking member, the link device being folded or unfolded while the link device is rotated by the interlocking member so as to allow the second body to slide when the guide member rotates, so that a relative position of the second body respective to the guide member changes.

Abstract: Disclosed is a portable electronic device bent widthwise. The portable electronic device includes: a first body bent widthwise; a second body mounted on the first body to be capable of being opened and closed, the second body being bent in the same direction as the first body; and a support member interposed between the first and second bodies so as to support the second body on the first body in such a manner that the second body can be opened and closed. The portable electronic device makes it possible to diversify the design of such a portable electronic device. In addition, the portable electronic device is convenient to grip. Furthermore, if the portable electronic device is configured in a slide-type, slippage of the thumb can be minimized when opening or closing the second body of the electronic device.

Abstract: A system and method for data attachment to live call transfers allows the call recipient to attach data to a call, unbeknownst to the caller, and transfer the call and the data to a second recipient. Attached data can be subsequently retrieved, viewed, modified or deleted by the second recipient. The attached data remains with the call as it transferred about a businesses communication system for display at recipient endpoints.

Abstract: Disclosed is a dual direction opening/closing hinge module adapted to open or close an apparatus (e.g. cellular phone) having a body and a cover or two bodies in a folder type. The hinge module includes a first rotation member having a first rotation shaft to be installed on the first body while being able to rotate in the first direction, and a rotation body formed on a side of the first rotation shaft; and a second rotation member having a second rotation shaft installed on the rotation body while being able to rotate in the second direction so that the second body is supported while being able to rotate in the second direction.

Abstract: Disclosed is a combined sliding and rotation mechanism adapted to a device. When the sliding housing enters into a sliding operation mode from a closed condition, the constraint tip of the base swing link escapes from the constraint recess of the sliding housing, and the guide protrusion of the base swing link simultaneously moves from a boundary point between the horizontal recess and the slanted recess of the rotation guide recess to a terminal point of the horizontal recess so that the sliding housing is constrained and prevented from rotating.

A guide member and a slider member are engaged with each other so as to enable to slide relative to each other. The end of one arm of a first torsion spring is connected to the slider member near the left edge thereof. The end of the other arm thereof is coupled to the right half area of the guide member. The end of one arm of a second torsion spring is connected to the slider member near the right edge thereof. The end of the other arm thereof is coupled to the left half area of the guide member. From the expanded original state of the first and second torsion springs, if an external force is exerted on the slider member or the guide member, the torsion springs are compressed into an acute angle and then spread again by means of the elastic force thereof. In this way, the slider member can move to the lowermost position or the lowermost position.

Abstract: A wireless transceiver includes a first integrated circuit and a second integrated circuit. The first integrated circuit includes a memory module that stores a plurality of operational instructions for implementing a plurality of protocol layers of a wireless protocol, a processing module that executes the plurality of operational instructions, and a first interface module. The second integrated circuit includes a second interface module that couples data to and from the first interface module, an RF transceiver that modulates a first baseband signal to produce a transmitted RF signal, and that demodulates a received RF signal to produce a second baseband signal, and a baseband module that generates the first baseband signal based on data received from the first interface module via the second interface module, and that generates data based on the second baseband signal to send to the first interface module via the second interface module.

Abstract: A prompt translation application for use in a telecommunications messaging system provides an administrator with a plurality of messaging prompts in a base language for revising, translating, and editing. The administrator can nearly simultaneously revise both a visual component of a prompt and an audio component of the prompt, and save the revisions for use on any number of associated endpoints. In the preferred embodiments, revisions to the visual component are made by user input, such as keystrokes, and to the audio component by selection of audio segments to be played in a particular order.

Abstract: Disclosed is an elastic device which is suitable for a sliding opening/closing apparatus of a portable appliance. The elastic device includes a first torsion spring including a first spiral part which is wound as a spiral shape without a vertical overlapping portion and a first extension arm extending from an outer portion of the first spiral part; a second torsion spring including a second spiral part which is wound as a spiral shape without a vertical overlapping portion thereof and a second extension arm extending from an outer portion of the second spiral part. The elastic device also includes a connection member connecting one of both ends of the first torsion spring and one of both ends of the second torsion spring with each other. The elastic device may have a smaller thickness in comparison with that of a conventional torsion spring having a vertical overlapping portion thereof.

Abstract: A system and method for decimating a digital signal is disclosed. The system includes an input to receive digital data, a control input to receive a desired decimation rate, and an integrator stage responsive to the input. The system also includes a variable rate down sampling module responsive to the integrator stage and a differentiator stage responsive to the variable rate down sampling module. The down sampling module has a decimation rate that is dynamically adjustable based on the desired decimation rate.

Abstract: A processor is provided that includes a primary memory of a processor and color conversion logic. The primary memory is to store a first color look-up table (LUT) related to a second color space. The color conversion logic is responsive to a received set of pixels, where each pixel of the set of pixels includes a color value in a first color space. The color conversion logic includes decision logic to selectively access the first color LUT and a second color LUT of a secondary memory to obtain a color value of the second color space that is associated with each pixel of the set of pixels based on a comparison of each pixel to at least one neighboring pixel.

Abstract: A system and method for processing a digital audio signal is disclosed. The system includes an input to receive a digital audio signal and a first output to provide a first digital output signal. The digital audio signal has a first fidelity characteristic and the first digital output signal has a second fidelity characteristic. The second fidelity characteristic is determined in response to security information extracted from the digital audio signal. The first digital output signal is provided to a digital to converter.

Abstract: A system and method for providing direct memory access is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, a direct memory access module is disclosed that includes a memory, a first interface coupled to a processor, and a second interface coupled to a peripheral module. A first instruction received from the first interface is stored in the memory. The first instruction includes a number of programmed input/output words to be provided to the peripheral module via the second interface. The direct memory access module also includes an instruction execution unit to process the first instruction.

Abstract: A system and method of providing a voltage to a non-volatile memory. The system includes an output pin to provide an output voltage to a non-volatile memory and includes a memory to store a table. The table includes a plurality of operating voltage levels. The system further includes a voltage mode module to apply a first voltage at a first of the plurality of operating voltage levels at the output pin prior to a read operation on the non-volatile memory. The voltage mode module applies a second voltage at a second of the plurality of voltage levels at the output pin in response to a read operation that returns a failure condition.

Abstract: A method and system for utilizing multiple speakers in a portable electronic device is disclosed. The method includes receiving an input at a user interface of a portable electronic device, switching a first and second speaker in a stereo configuration to a mono configuration by routing a first digital to analog converter (DAC) output to both the first and second speaker in response to the input and coupling a third speaker to a second DAC to receive a first audio signal that is responsive to the input. The system includes a first digital to analog converter coupled to a first speaker, a second DAC coupled to a second speaker, and a third speaker. The system further includes switching logic coupled to the first and second DACs. The switching logic is responsive to an input signal provided by a user interface of a portable device. In response to an input signal from the user interface, the switching logic couples the first and second speakers to the first DAC and the third speaker to the second DAC.

Abstract: A method and system to determine a battery mode of an integrated circuit device are presented. The battery mode is selected with respect to first and second direct current to direct current converter devices within the integrated circuit. A voltage is received at a single pin of the device. A battery mode is determined for the device based on the received voltage, and at least one of the direct current to direct current converter circuits is configured based on the determined battery mode.
