Abstract: A kit for converting a conventional necktie to a pre-knotted tie that is attached to the neck of a wearer by detachable hook and eye fasteners. The kit includes two flexible strips, each fitted with one mating section of a detachable fastener and each formed on its underside with an adhesive coating so that a necktie, properly knotted in place about the neck of a user may be cut along the neck strap section and each of the strips then fastened to the opposed cut ends of the neck strap. The kit also includes a disc coated on both sides with a self-adhering adhesive which may be fastened in place under a folded knot section of the tie to hold the knot section in shape.

Abstract: An assembly for locking a hook to a board to prevent the hook from disengaging from the board wherein the hook has an offset board engaging portion, a shank portion having a straight board engaging portion extending at right angle thereto with a notch near the shank. The hook is held in frictional contact with the board by a locking clip having an opening traversed by the offset board engaging portion of the hook and a curved indentation engaged in the notch of the straight board engaging portion of the hook.

Abstract: An alarm plug tube of electrically insulative material in a box has electrical contacts in spaced relation. An alarm circuit in the box is electrically connected to the electrical contacts for indicating when the electrical contacts are in electrical connection. The alarm circuit has a battery, lamps and an audible alarm connected to the electrical contacts. An alarm plug of electrically insulative material has raised electrically conductive contact plates extending from the surface thereof in spaced random relation whereby a player attempts to withdraw the alarm plug from the alarm plug tube without electrically connecting the electrical contacts of the alarm plug tube via the contact plates of the alarm plug. A timer and a switch in the box are electrically connected in circuit with the audible alarm and the battery for determining a period of time during which a player attempts to remove the alarm plug from the alarm plug tube. The switch neutralizes the timer and the audible alarm when opened.

Abstract: A vehicle headlight alarm is actuated when the ignition switch of an automotive vehicle is turned off and the headlight switch is still ON.

Abstract: A game board has a plurality of equally dimensioned squares thereon in rows and columns constituting five sets of 36 squares, each set having the same indications as the others, but in different locations on the board. Each set has 36 different cattle brands each in a corresponding one of its squares. Each of the corners has a square larger than the others which is identified as the home ranch of a specific color different from the colors of the other home ranches. Four groups of miniature plastic calves are provided. Each group has a plurality of calves of the same color, different from the colors of the other groups. Four pairs of dice are provided. Each die has six surfaces, of which two are blank and the remaining four have 1, 2, 3 and 4 dots thereon, respectively. Each pair of dice has the same color, different from the colors of the other pairs.

Abstract: A system for heating water to be utilized for rinsing material plated in an electroplating tank includes an electrically conductive water coil electrically connected in series between the spaced segments of a bus bar carrying current of 2000 Amps. at 12-15 volts D.C. to the plating tank. The inlet and outlet of the water coil are connected to a water tank and circulation of water from the water tank through the coil is effected either by a pump or by thermosyphonic action.

Abstract: A sponge has rectangular faces and a trapezoidal cross-section to enable the sponge to reach into corners and the like. The sponge is detachably secured below a plate which is itself attached to the lower end of an elongated handle. An elongated wringer plate having a center grill can be swung below the sponge and lifted up against the sponge by a lever attached to the handle, to wring the sponge out against the plate.

Abstract: A monitor device electronically connected to a pacemaker and to an alarm device counts the pulses supplied to the heart by the pacemaker, detects the signal level of the pulses and compares the number of pulses with a preselected number and the signal level with a preselected signal level. The monitor device connects an auxiliary battery source of power to the pacemaker and actuates the alarm device when the detected number is less than the preselected number and when the detected level is less than the preselected level.

Abstract: A wheel has a rim of square cross-sectional area and a pair of diametrical struts intersecting each other at the center of the wheel. A rod has an elongated rod-like handle having spaced opposite first and second ends. The rod is adapted to be gripped at the first end. A cross-rod is affixed to the rod at the second end thereof and extends at right angles therewith to form a T-shape. Each of the outer circumference of the rim of the wheel and the cross-rod has flexible undulating material affixed thereto.

Abstract: A stem in an alarm housing coaxially removably coupled to the lid of a coffee pot via a hole formed through the lid extends through the bore of a collar mounted in the housing and having a coaxial bore formed therethrough. A spherical member is coaxially affixed to the stem at an intermediate point thereof and has a diameter greater than the diameter of the bore of the collar and rests in such bore whereby the stem is freely rockable in the collar. A hollow shell is mounted on the stem at the upper end thereof and has a rattle member encased therein which produces an alarm sound whenever it strikes the shell. An actuating member is mounted on the stem at the lower end thereof and is positioned in close proximity with the top of the perforated tube of the coffee pot. Thus, when the coffee perks, water flows into the top of the tube of the coffee pot and strikes the actuating member to produce an oscillatory motion of the stem about the spherical member thereof.

Abstract: A washing machine mechanism adaptable for installation in the wash facilities of homes occupied by low income families of developing countries and particularly adaptable for installation in the wash tub units of Central and South America. The mechanism incorporates a propeller which mounts in a bearing in the drain of a wash sink with a motor unit mounted above the propeller and joined by a vertical shaft to the propeller and by a horizontal shaft to a pair of rollers mounted above an adjacent drain area. The propeller rotates in a bushing cup, slidably mounted in the sink drain, with a lever joined to the bushing to move the bushing into a first position in which the drain is plugged or a second position in which the drain is open.

Abstract: A platform mounted on rails on each side of the platforms can slide on a round headed bolt attached to each of the inside surfaces of a ladder and the platform can be secured by a clamp at a distal end of the platform to a rung of the ladder, a bearing attached to the front edge of the platform and attached to a support arm can be attached to a lower rung of the ladder by a clamp attached to a distal end of the support arm to support the front edge of the platform, and a front lip attached to a front edge of the platform can be used to pull the step forward and backwards; a rugging material can be attached to a surface of the platform to comfort the feet of a user.

Abstract: An anchor clip for detachably mounting to the rim of a golf club bag to which the shank of a golf club, in the bag, may be detachably fastened. The clip is in the form of a set of spaced first U-shaped clamp members joined by a common mid-section with a second U-shaped clamp member mounted to the common mid-section along an axis perpendicular to the first clamp members.

Abstract: A knob which may be readily fastened to a flat surface for retention of a detachable litter bag. A shaft of circular cross-section is joined at one end to a first circular disc, concentric with the shaft, and at the other end to a second and smaller concentric circular disc. The external flat surface of the first disc is coated with a self-adhering material, with the edges of the second disc being rounded to permit the second disc to slide through a slotted hole in a tab of a litter bag.

The invention is designed to be used in pairs, an extractor is provided for removing the disc from the reel.

Abstract: A reflector assembly that serves as a portable ceiling for reflecting bounce flash to a photographed object. The assembly includes a support rod fastened to a first mounting bracket attachable to a camera, a second bracket rotatably fixed to the support rod for attachment to a photo flash unit and a third bracket rotatably fixed at the free end of the support rod to which a reflecting plate is fixed.

Abstract: A shaft-type handle has protruding parts parallel to its axis in one end area thereof. A pair of bores extend through the protruding portions in spaced relation parallel to the axis of the handle. A hammer-type head is mounted on the end area of the handle and extends at right angles to the axis of the handle. A pair of elongated screws extend through bores formed through a metal plate at the end of the handle at the end area and through the bores through the protruding portions and are secured via lock washers and nuts. The plate overlaps the head for a predetermined border area extending beyond the end area.
