  • Patent number: 12185639
Abstract: An antiferromagnetic (AFM) memory device includes a heavy metal (HM) layer having electrical terminals at two ends, and an AFM tunnel junction (ATJ) interfaced with the HM layer between the two ends. The ATJ includes an AFM material interfaced with a surface of the HM layer, a tunnel barrier layer including an oxide and interfaced with a top of the AFM layer, and a capping layer interfaced with a top of the tunnel barrier layer. The capping layer includes a heavy metal material or a ferromagnetic material. An electrode disposed on top of the capping layer facilitates reading information from the AFM memory device according to a magnetoresistance value measured between the electrode and one of the terminals of the HM layer. Information is written into the AFM memory device by passing current through the HM layer and below the AFM layer.

  • Patent number: 12184456
Abstract: A feed-forward equalizer includes a shift register, a look-up table circuit, a selection circuit and an output terminal. The shift register temporarily stores and shifts input data based on a clock signal to obtain multiple shifted input data. The look-up table circuit has multiple processed signals. The processed signals are obtained by logical operation of multiple coefficients. An input terminal of the selection circuit is coupled to the look-up table circuit. A control terminal of the selection circuit receives the shifted input data. The selection circuit selects at least one of the processed signals of the look-up table circuit as a selected signal based on the shifted input data. The output terminal provides an output signal according to the selected signal.

  • Patent number: 12178588
Abstract: A novel method for using the widely-used electroencephalography (EEG) systems to detect and localize silences in the brain is disclosed. The method detects the absence of electrophysiological signals, or neural silences, using noninvasive scalp electroencephalography (EEG) signals. This method can also be used for reduced activity localization, activity level mapping throughout the brain, as well as mapping activity levels in different frequency bands. By accounting for the contributions of different sources to the power of the recorded signals and using a hemispheric baseline approach and a convex spectral clustering framework, the method permits rapid detection and localization of regions of silence in the brain using a relatively small amount of EEG data.

  • Patent number: 12179194
Abstract: Method of ultrasound-assisted 3D bioprinting includes depositing a bioink fluid matrix containing a suspension of cells into a chamber comprising two piezo transducers on opposing ends of the chamber. The method further includes vibrating the piezo transducers to generate longitudinal bulk acoustic waves within the bioink fluid matrix such that waves from opposing piezo transducers superimpose to form a standing bulk acoustic wave to drive the cells to cluster and align along one or more nodes or nodal planes formed within the bioink fluid matrix at points of intersection of the standing bulk acoustic wave. The nodes or nodal planes are spaced apart from each other by a distance equaling half a wavelength of the standing bulk acoustic wave. The nodes or nodal planes further mimic a contour of the vibrating surfaces of the piezo transducers.

  • Patent number: 12184797
Abstract: Systems and methods for the generation and use of session keys supporting secure communications between a client and server device are disclosed. The client hashes each of a series of passwords a first number of times. The hashed passwords are sent to a server. The server applies the hashed password to an array of PUF devices, and receives an initial response bitstream which is stored. The client later hashes each of the series of passwords a second number of times, which is less than the first number, and these are sent to the server. The server continues to hash the second message digest, generate PUF responses, and compare the result to the initially stored responses. For each password, the number of hashes necessary to achieve a match is a partial session key. Latency is improved by an array of separately addressable PUFs, each producing a partial session key.
