Abstract: A string pickup game apparatus includes a pair of supporters each of which has a pair of pinchers which are manipulated by a trigger such that two players using the two supporters can pick up string objects and place them in corresponding holding areas. The object of the game is to remove as many string objects as possible from a central holding area, and also from an opponents holding area, and deposit them in the player's own holding area.

Abstract: An animated telephone annunicator apparatus provides realistic movements so that a user of the apparatus appears to converse with the apparatus. The apparatus receives telephone signals, and in response to these received signals moves portions of the apparatus in synchronism with the signals. As a result, the apparatus appears to realistically speak the words of a calling party.

Abstract: A board game has a polyhedron-shaped member which includes a plurality of non-coplanar playing surfaces. A transparent plate covers each playing surface and at least one playing piece is moveable between the playing surfaces and the transparent plates. An inlet and an outlet is associated with each playing surface, and the inlets and outlets of the various playing surfaces are interconnected by a passage. An actuator associated with each playing surface propels the playing piece or playing pieces towards the outlet of each corresponding playing surface. Once passing through the outlet, the playing pieces are directed by the passage to the inlet of the next adjacent playing surface.

Abstract: A spring driven toy is described, including a base; an operation member movably mounted on the base; a spring unit for moving the movable operation member relative to the base; a speed control mechanism connected to the spring unit; a lever selectively movable between a position engaged to the speed control mechanism to prevent the spring unit from operating and a position disengaged therefrom to allow the spring unit to operate, said lever including a first magnetic substance; and a separate body having a second magnetic substance and being magnetically attachable to the movable operation member adjacent the first magnetic substance of the lever and movable with the movable operation member.

Abstract: A light projecting toy musical box projects a light pattern which is synchronized with musical sound generated by an acoustic mechanism. The projected light patterns are formed by providing a lamp within a base and rotatably mounting a dome over the lamp and substantially on top of the base. The dome is made out of translucent material which is patterned with a semi-opaque coating so as to form light patterns on the dome itself and project the light patterns on adjacent ceilings and/or walls of a room.

Abstract: A simulator toy has a projection light source and plate with projectable objects formed on one surface so that when the plate is rotated, the projected image simulates a moving street. A projectable car is movable under the rotation plate by a turning knob. A player uses the turning knob to manipulate the car around the projectable objects.

Abstract: An animated toy is described, including a voice input device for receiving a voice signal transmitted from outside the toy; a driving circuit which shapes a waveform of the voice signal input from the voice input device to output a drive signal; and a driving mechanism which actuates a movable portion of the toy in response to the drive signal from the driving circuit and is returned to its initial stop position when no drive signal is supplied.

Abstract: A cotton candy machine is provided with a rotating pan and a heating element disposed adjacent a bottom of the rotating pan and being rotatable with the rotating pan. A sliding electrical connection is provided between the heating element and a power source in order to supply electric current which is necessary to heat the heating element.

Abstract: A plastic film including indicia such as letters and/or a picture thereon is stretched across a continuous elastic circular member to form a planar toy. A player holds the elastic circular member on opposite sides by both hands, twists the elastic circular member into a figure 8 shape, and then folds the elastic circular member into three overlapping portions, which configuration is retained until disturbed. When the folded toy is thrown at an object, the toy opens to the original, flat, circular shape with a frightening sound, while simultaneously displaying the indicia.

Abstract: An opening and closing device for double doors for use in a toy, including: a base plate mounted with a housing formed with two openings and including two adjacent elongated holes; a pair of rotary plates receiving the lower ends of the doors; a spring normally biased the doors closed; a rotary lever engageable with edges of the rotary plates and provided with a magnet and an integral gear loosely fitted with and supported by a support shaft; and an operating lever, including a first end projecting from an opening formed at the side of the base plate, pivoted at its center portion and formed at a second end thereof with an arc-shaped edge including a rack engageable with the gear. When a separate doll including a magnetic substance is placed on the base plate over the rotary lever, the lever is moved upwardly and the gear engages the rack, whereupon the doors can be opened by the operating lever. When the doll is not so placed, the operating lever cannot operate the doors.

Abstract: A running toy having an integral and concealed transmission member permits easy construction of running toys having a desirable appearance. A block unit of the running toy includes a hollow cube or block having a concave portion for receiving other block units and a convex portion for coupling to other block units. The concealed transmission member is rotatably mounted within the hollow cube so as to permit successive block units to be connected, and top permit a drive force inputted to one end of a succession of block units, from a power unit and through a power transmission, to be output at another end of the succession of block units. The succession of blocks can be configured in any desired shape, such as a crane.

Abstract: A hand held game instrument including a plurality of arm members connected to pivot about a grip member so that a head portion of the instrument engages a protrusion on the grip member causing objects in the head member to drop into a receptacle on the grip member.

Abstract: A running toy having a chassis with a plurality of pivotably connected portions and a power source for moving the chassis over a surface including uneven portions and obstructions. Each of the pivotably connected portions of the chassis has mounted thereon gears which engage the gears on an adjacent pivotably connected portion so that a driving force provided by the power source is transmitted to the gears of each of the pivotably connected portions in a manner so as to move the running toy. The gears on each of the pivotably connected portions are mounted so that the gears on adjacent pivotably connected portions remain engaged regardless of the pivotable relationship between adjacent portions of the chassis. At least one of the gears on each of the pivotably connected portions has mounted thereon a hub and drive wheel. Because the chassis comprises pivotably connected portions, the running toy can traverse uneven surfaces and obstacles having a wide variety of heights and inclinations.
