Abstract: A projection window operator providing horizontal displacement of a window relative to a vertical plane of the frame of the window. With at least one projection window operator installed on each of opposing sides of the window, the window can be actuated between a first closed position and second open position in which a trickle ventilation is provided around the window. The projection window operators installed on the window can be interconnected for simultaneous actuation, or actuated individually, providing selective ventilation on either side.
Abstract: A low-cost combination tilt-lock-latch mechanism for a sliding window that combines ease of installation and adjustment with simplicity of use. The mechanism includes at least one tilt-latch mechanism adapted for mounting in the window sash. The tilt-latch mechanism includes a housing and a plunger having a latch bolt portion retractable within the housing. A plunger latch member automatically latches the plunger in a retracted position to enable tilting of the sash. Further, the mechanism may include an actuator mechanism and a flexible linking member. The tilt-latch may include a locking member adjustable from outside the housing of the tilt latch, to lock the flexible linking member to the plunger, thereby operably coupling the actuator mechanism with the tilt-latch.

Abstract: The invention generally relates to a latch apparatus having a locking live bolt. One embodiment of the invention is a latch apparatus having a housing with opposed plates that are spaced apart and secured to each other by support arms formed from the plates. A live bolt of the apparatus is slidably mounted in the housing and horizontally actuated between an extended and a retracted position. A live bolt hub is mounted in the housing and actuates the live bolt. A slide, actuated by a rotatable cam, is mounted in the housing and moves vertically between a first position and a second position. In the first position the slide is disengaged from the live bolt, and in the second position the slide locks the live bolt in an extended position.
Abstract: The present invention relates to locking door latches. A door latch according to the invention may include a handle assembly that includes a generally cylindrical shank having an axis, an engagement member that includes a generally cylindrical bore configured to permit the shank to pass through the engagement member, a spindle operable by the shank, and a live bolt assembly coupled to the spindle so as to be actuated by the spindle. The handle is movable in a direction parallel to the axis between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the shank engages the engagement member so as to prohibit the shank from rotating about the axis. In the second position, the shank does not engage the engagement member so as to permit rotation of the shank about the axis.
Abstract: A multipoint lock system for use with the active and inactive doors of two-door sets, which provides an operator with the ability to lock or unlock a plurality of locking points both manually and automatically, and features a blocking mechanism to prevent unwanted locking. The system comprises a pair of releasably engaged mechanisms, one of which primarily controls the deployment of the locking members, while the other primarily controls the receiving windows that receive the locking members. Each mechanism is operated by a lever and thumbturn attached to a centralized cassette.

The improved keeper is typically mounted flush to a surface of an extruded window component. The clearance slot allows the keeper to be mounted with improved precision and thereby reduces interferences caused by misaligned window hardware.
