Abstract: A calibration method of an image scanning system is provided. Initially, differences between adjacent sensing values of a calibration plate are respectively determined and then stored in a memory. Alternately, a difference between a base value and each of the sensing values of the calibration plate is determined and then stored in the memory. When a normal scan action is executed, simultaneously reading each difference from the memory and adding to one corresponding sensing value of image information of an object obtained by the normal scan action. As a result, the memory volume for storing calibration data is reduced and the reading of calibration data is also facilitated.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a method and a system for promoting scanning speed are provided. The method comprises steps of determining a transmission rate of a transit interface, adjusting system clock responsive to the transmission rate of the transit interface to change a data generated rate, and scanning an original to generate data at the rate controlled by the system clock. The key aspect of the present invention is by adjusting system clock to change the data generated rate corresponding to the transmission rate of the transit interface. Therefore, in response to the transmission rate of the transit interface, the system clock is adjusted to produce the data at a rate that can reduce the possibility of memory buffer full leading to the reduction in the time wasting on start-stop processes and therefore promote the scanning speed without requiring the increase in size of a memory buffer.

  • Publication number: 20030081839
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for compressing an image data in real time. At first, the present invention divides an image, which is got after a pre-scanning process, into plural lines. Each line is divide into several blocks, whose sizes are the same. Each block comprises plural pixel values. A pixel value of a block is saved in the buffer completely to become the first datum. The pixel value is usually the minimum pixel value. Then plural differences, which are between the first datum and the plural pixel values of the block, are calculated. One of the plural differences, which are not equal to zero, is saved in the buffer completely to become the second datum. The difference, which is not equal to zero, is usually a minimum difference. Using the second datum to be a divisor and using the plural differences to be dividends will get plural specific values of plural differences to the second datum.
