  • Patent number: 11584932
Abstract: The present disclosure provides nucleic acid compositions that incorporate one or more halouracil molecules. More specifically, the present disclosure reveals that the replacement of uracil nucleotides within a microRNA nucleotide sequence with a 5-halouracil increases the ability of the micro-RNA to inhibit cancer progression and tumorigenesis. As such, the present disclosure provides various nucleic acid (e.g., microRNA) compositions having 5-halouracil molecules incorporated in their nucleic acid sequences and methods for using the same. The present disclosure further provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising the modified nucleic acid compositions, and methods for treating cancers using the same.

Abstract: Aspects relate to patterned nanostructures having a feature size not including film thickness of below 5 microns. The patterned nanostructures are made up of nanoparticles having an average particle size of less than 100 nm. A nanoparticle composition, which, in some cases, includes a binder, is applied to a substrate. A patterned mold used in concert with electromagnetic radiation function to manipulate the nanoparticle composition in forming the patterned nanostructure. In some embodiments, the patterned mold nanoimprints a pattern onto the nanoparticle composition and the composition is cured through UV or thermal energy. Three-dimensional patterned nanostructures may be formed. A number of patterned nanostructure layers may be prepared and joined together. In some cases, a patterned nanostructure may be formed as a layer that is releasable from the substrate upon which it is initially formed.

  • Patent number: 11584184
Abstract: A control method for hybrid electromagnetic suspension. The method provides four modes for hybrid electromagnetic suspension: a comfort mode, a sport mode, a combined mode, and an energy feedback mode. A driver can switch between the four modes as desired. For the comfort, sport, and combined modes, hybrid control is adopted, and two sub-modes are provided: an active control mode and a semi-active control mode. A switching condition between the two sub-modes is determined by using a novel parameter Cact and comparing the same against a maximum equivalent electromagnetic damping coefficient Ceqmax of a linear motor. The present invention solves the problem of achieving a balance between suspension comfort and tire traction, and meets the demands of different operating conditions and users by enabling manual mode switching.

  • Patent number: 11584718
Abstract: A set of small molecules ER? biomodulators that kill therapy-resistant ER? positive breast, ovarian, and endometrial cancer cells. These small molecules have increased therapeutic potential because of an increased ability to kill therapy-resistant breast cancer cells compared to BHPI and other conventional therapies (endocrine therapies, tamoxifen and fulvestrant/ICI). The new compounds do not only inhibit proliferation of the cancer cells but actually kills them, which prevents reactivation of tumors years later.

  • Patent number: 11584688
Abstract: A visible-light-photocatalyzed composite light-transmitting concrete contains several bundles of optical fibers, the optical fibers are coated with a protective layer on their outer surface, the protective layer contains a visible light photocatalyst, and the concrete has several gas-permeable pores. Such concrete is prepared by mixing a visible light photocatalyst and a light-transmitting glue, applying the mixture to the surface of optical fibers to form a protective layer, and using optical fibers in the concrete. The resulting concrete has dual properties of light transmittance and photocatalytic oxidation of gas-phase pollutants under visible light irradiation. The visible-light-photocatalyzed composite light-transmitting concrete significantly breaks through the limitation of photocatalytic concrete to light sources, so that gas-phase pollutants can be removed under visible light irradiation through photocatalysis of light-transmitting concrete.
