Abstract: Systems and methods for a multi-primary color system for display. A multi-primary color system increases the number of primary colors available in a color system and color system equipment. Increasing the number of primary colors reduces metameric errors from viewer to viewer. One embodiment of the multi-primary color system includes Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta primaries. The systems of the present invention maintain compatibility with existing color systems and equipment and provide systems for backwards compatibility with older color systems.

Abstract: A novel monitoring method evaluates tissue ablation progress. An antenna in a distal portion of an ablation applicator sends and receives electrical information from the target tissue during ablation. The information is used to determine ablation progress. A related ablation monitoring system includes a power monitor and processor operable to evaluate ablation progress based on reflected electrical properties during the ablation. The invention has particular benefits when used in endoscopic-based microwave ablation.

Abstract: An inventive approach is disclosed to integrate Digital Image Correlation (DIC) with the Acoustic Emission method that may be used for structural health monitoring and assessment of critical structural components in civil, mechanical, and aerospace industries. The inventive approach relies on passively recording acoustic emission across the specimen being tested and activating the DIC cameras automatically to measure deformation on the specimen's surface. The resulting acousto-optic system can be used to determine damage initiation, progressive damage development, identify critical regions and make lifetime predictions of the tested specimen.

  • Publication number: 20210300433
Abstract: An image classification system defends against physically realizable attacks. A training dataset of input images is retrieved and an adversarial image is generated based on one of the input images that is selected. The adversarial image is created by occluding a portion of the selected image by superimposing a predetermined shape (e.g., a rectangle) containing noise on the selected image. A defense against occlusion attacks (DOA) classifier is trained using the training dataset and the adversarial image. The DOA classifier is utilized to classify captured images of items (e.g., street signs) that may have been attacked (e.g., sticker placement, vandalism).

Abstract: A metal wiring method for reducing gate resistance of a narrow control gate structure, wherein the gate structure is etched with first gate electrodes and second gate electrodes at regular intervals and kept with complete gate electrodes at regular intervals, thereby constituting a structure in which the first and second gate electrodes and the complete gate electrodes are spaced apart. A first contact hole is etched on the complete gate electrode to draw out metal as a first metal layer. A second contact hole is etched on a source region and a split gate to draw out metal as a second metal layer. These two metal layers are separated by a dielectric layer. A multi-point contact of the first layer of metal with the gate electrode in a Y direction reduces the gate resistance caused by an excessively long path in the Y direction of a control gate electrode.
