Abstract: Disclosed are a staircase matrix code and a highly parallel low-latency ordered statistics decoding (OSD) method thereof. The staircase matrix code may be divided into a staircase generator matrix code and a staircase parity-check matrix code, and a corresponding generator matrix or parity-check matrix thereof has a staircase structure, or has a staircase structure after row and column permutation. Based on the special staircase structure, special highly parallel low-latency OSD can be employed to decode the staircase matrix code. Specifically, at least one reliable bit is selected from bits corresponding to each staircase to constitute an extended reliable basis, then a corresponding generator matrix or parity-check matrix has an upper triangular or lower triangular structure. Under the special triangular structure, parallel Gaussian elimination of all rows can be implemented, and then re-encoding and the like are executed to complete decoding.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and application of a multifunctional interface layer modified composite zinc cathode based on zinc blende in zinc metal batteries. Zinc blende powder is produced by crushing and ball milling, then mixed with a solvent and wet screened. The fine zinc blende is dried and mixed with a surfactant to obtain grafted fine powder. This modified powder is combined with a binder and organic solvent to form a slurry, which is coated on the zinc metal cathode. After drying, the modified composite zinc metal cathode is applied to aqueous zinc metal batteries. This method stabilizes the zinc cathode, isolates electrolyte corrosion, inhibits zinc dendrite growth, and addresses issues of dendrite formation, hydrogen evolution, and corrosion, thereby extending the battery's service life.

Abstract: Proposed is a polymer for a gel-type polymer electrolyte of a secondary battery, in which the polymer is PMVEMA-GMA, which is a polymer obtained by polymerizing (methylvinylether-alt-maleic acid) (PMVEMA) and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA). A gel-type polymer electrolyte including the polymer as a matrix, and a lithium secondary battery including the gel-type polymer electrolyte are also proposed. The polymer of the present disclosure complements a limitation of a liquid electrolyte such as leakage and has a higher ion conductivity than a solid electrolyte. Aside from the advantages, the gel-type polymer electrolyte according to the present disclosure has a higher ion conductivity than a conventional gel-type polymer electrolyte that is based on poly(methylvinylether-alt-maleic acid) (PMVEMA) added with lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI) because it can be dissolved well in highly volatile tetrahydrofuran (THF) and thus can be dried at a low temperature.

Abstract: Quantitative phase imaging (QPI) is a label-free computational imaging technique that provides optical path length information of objects. Here, a diffractive QPI network architecture is disclosed that can synthesize the quantitative phase image of an object by converting the input phase information of a scene or object(s) into intensity variations at the output plane. A diffractive QPI network is a specialized all-optical device designed to perform a quantitative phase-to-intensity transformation through passive diffractive/reflective surfaces that are spatially engineered using deep learning and image data. Forming a compact, all-optical network that axially extends only ˜200-300? (?=illumination wavelength), this framework replaces traditional QPI systems and related digital computational burdens with a set of passive substrate layers.
