Abstract: A recombinant adeno-associated virus (AAV) having an AAV capsid and packaged therein a heterologous nucleic acid which expresses two functional antibody constructs in a cell is described. Also described are antibodies comprising a heavy chain and a light chain from a heterologous antibody. In one embodiment, the antibodies are co-expressed from a vector containing: a first expression cassette which encodes at least a first open reading frame (ORF) for a first immunoglobulin under the control of regulatory control sequences which direct expression thereof; and a second expression cassette which comprises a second ORF, a linker, and a third ORF under the control of regulatory control sequences which direct expression thereof, wherein the second and third ORF for a second and third immunoglobulin construct. The vector co-expressing these two antibody constructs is in one embodiment an AAV, in which the 5? and 3? ITRs flank the expression cassettes and regulatory sequences.

  • Patent number: 10975198
Abstract: In various embodiments, the present invention is directed to terpolymers of carbon monoxide (CO), olefins (alkenes), and epoxides, as well as related methods and catalysts for their making and use. These terpolymer chains are comprised of ketone repeat units, ester repeat units, and ether repeat units. The additional presence of the ester repeat units and ether repeat units have the effect of lowering terpolymer melt temperature relative to that of similar polyketone, thus separating melt temperature from decomposition temperature, making it suitable for melt processing. In a single reaction mixture, the same metal catalyst that polymerizes CO with olefins also incorporates epoxide monomers into the terpolymer in the form of ester or ester and ether linkages. As a part of the terpolymer chain, the ester groups can undergo hydrolysis, rendering these terpolymer compositions hydrolytically degradable.

  • Patent number: 10977586
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for forecasting and managing daily electrical demands. In some embodiments, a computing platform may receive historical demand data corresponding to historical electrical demand over a first period of time. Next, the computing platform may determine a reference rate of change (ROC) and a statistical mode corresponding to a number of positive ROCs. After, the computing platform may receive current demand data corresponding to current electrical demand over a second period of time. Subsequently, the computing platform may determine an alarm condition corresponding to a daily peak electrical demand. Following, the computing platform may generate one or more commands directing a second computing platform to display the alarm condition. • Patent number: 10979221
Abstract: A cryptographic infrastructure, which provides a method for generating private keys of variable length from a cryptographic table and a public key. This infrastructure provides an approximation of the one-time pad scheme. The cryptographic table is shared between a message sender and a message recipient by a secure transfer. After sharing the cryptographic table, no new private keys need to be sent—the private keys are independently generated by each party from the data contained within the shared cryptographic tables, using the public key. After public keys are exchanged, private keys may be generated and used to encrypt and decrypt messages and perform authentication cycles, establishing a secure communication environment between the sender and the recipient.

  • Patent number: 10976800
Abstract: An electronic device includes a processor, a volatile memory, and a non-volatile memory. The non-volatile memory stores a first operating system, and the electronic device works in a first working mode and a second working mode. When the electronic device is in the first working mode, a second operating system is run in the volatile memory. When the processor detects that the electronic device reaches a preset condition for entering the second working mode, the non-volatile memory is enabled, and non-system data in the volatile memory is moved to the non-volatile memory. The non-system data does not include the second operating system. After the movement of the non-system data is completed, the volatile memory is disabled, and the first operating system is run in the non-volatile memory, so that the electronic device enters the second working mode.

  • Patent number: 10974004
Abstract: Techniques for automated titration of CPAP device for a subject include receiving multiple ultrasound images representing a cross section of an airway in a neck of the subject at corresponding different times. Multiple different positive pressure values imposed by a device on the airway of the subject are also received at each of the corresponding times. For each of the ultrasound images, a mask of pixels associated with an air-tissue interface is automatically formed, and a value of a statistic of pixels within the mask is automatically determined. A titration pressure for a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device is automatically determined based on the positive pressures and the value of the statistic for each of the ultrasound images. Output data that indicates the titration pressure for the CPAP device is presented on a display device, such as by operating the CPAP device itself at the titration pressure.
