Abstract: The omnidirectional ultra-wideband antenna is a variant on a monocone antenna, particularly including a supplemental radiating element. The omnidirectional ultra-wideband antenna includes an electrically conductive conical surface having a vertex end and a base end, and a supplemental radiating element having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion extends from the base end of the electrically conductive conical surface, the first portion being positioned between the base end of the electrically conductive conical surface and the second portion. The vertex end of the electrically conductive conical surface is positioned adjacent to, and spaced apart from, a first surface of a ground plane plate. At least one electrically conductive rod is provided, a first end of the rod being secured to the second portion, and a second end of each rod being mounted on the first surface of the ground plane plate.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a dispenser for adhesive fabrics or tapes, such as bandages or other adhesive medical fabrics or correction tapes. The dispenser has a case in which a supply reel and a take-up reel are mounted. A belt having adhesive fabrics or tapes thereon extends from the supply reel through one or more openings to the exterior of the case, and thence to a take-up reel. The supply reel and the take-up reel are coupled so that the belt is wrapped around the take-up reel as it is unwound from the supply reel and advances to move an adhesive fabric or tape to the exterior of the case for dispensing. The dispenser may optionally have an activation device that allows a user to extend a portion of an adhesive fabric outside the dispenser and dispense and apply the adhesive fabric to a human skin with one hand.
Abstract: A method, a computer readable medium and an apparatus for optimizing a cellular network architecture are disclosed. For example, the method obtains network traffic data for a plurality of different endpoint device types, wherein the network traffic data comprises network traffic data for each of the plurality of different endpoint device types, and predicts a future traffic pattern for one of the plurality of different endpoint device types based on the network traffic data. The method then adjusts a parameter of the cellular network architecture in response to the future traffic pattern predicted for the one of the plurality of different endpoint device types.

Abstract: A system for running a Linux based Android container platform with a processor and a memory is disclosed. The system includes a Linux host, an Android container which runs on the Linux host, and an integrated security module including a Linux security module having a Linux policy of a process running on the Linux host, and an Android security module having an Android policy of a process running on the Android container. The integrated security module is mounted in a directory shared between the Linux host and the Android container and the integrated security module overwrites a pre-existing Linux security module.

Abstract: The present invention provides optical computing by means of fast Fourier transform Integration on Silicon On Insulator chip technology with implementation in the analog and temporal domain. This is done by cascading (N?2) stages of delayed interferometers (couplers and phase shifters) where a parallel set of N time samples are taken and using the delay lines and phase of the optical components (constructive/deconstructive interference) the DFT is computed. The Optical Fast Fourier Transform (OFFT) design was built on passive components (2×2 couplers: cascaded Mach Zehnder Interferometer) used for addition and subtraction through optical interference, waveguides with short path differences are used for phase shifting and waveguides with long path differences are used for signal delay based on the needed number of outputs. Since the OFFT is a system of imbalanced interferometers, there are additional bends designed to compensate for the difference in power ratios of the arms.
Abstract: A method of making a stretchable capacitor electrode-conductor structure is provided. An elastic substrate is pre-stretched in a first direction and a second direction, to obtain a pre-stretched elastic substrate. A carbon nanotube active material composite layer is laid on a surface of the pre-stretched elastic substrate. The pre-stretching the elastic substrate in the first direction and the second direction is removed to form a plurality of wrinkles on a surface of the carbon nanotube active material composite layer. The carbon nanotube active material composite layer is processed to obtain a capacitor electrode and a conductor structure.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a recombinant self-assembled protein comprising a target-oriented peptide and a use thereof The recombinant self-assembled protein according to the present invention, comprising a target-oriented peptide, does not require an additional process for providing target-orientedness, and is thus capable of delivering a desired drug to a target tissue or target cell without using additives, such as chemical binders or stabilizers; therefore, the protein can be used for photothermal therapy, drug delivery, imaging, or the like. In particular, according to the present invention, it is possible to prepare gold-protein nanoparticle fusions in which uniform high-density gold nanoparticles having target-orientedness are bound to protein surfaces, without an additional process of surface stabilization or process for providing target-orientedness.

Abstract: A method of measuring a center error between bearings includes disposing both sides of a rotation shaft on inner circumferential surfaces of a magnetic bearing and a backup bearing, applying current to the magnetic bearing to produce movement of the rotation shaft, determining a contact point between the rotation shaft and the backup bearing according to movement of the rotation shaft, determining a final target value using the contact point and predetermined position information of the magnetic bearing, determining a magnetic center of the magnetic bearing through the final target value, comparing the magnetic center of the magnetic bearing and a mechanical center of the backup bearing to determine a center error, and aligning the magnetic center of the magnetic bearing and the mechanical center of the backup bearing based on the determined center error.
