Abstract: A compound comprising a first ligand LA of Formula I, is provided. In the compound, ring B is a 5- or 6-membered ring; each of Z and X1 to X4 is C or N; Y is a linking atom; K is a direct bond or a linking atom; each R*, RA, RB, and RC is hydrogen or a General Substituent defined herein; a total of at least two of RB and/or RC substituents are independently electron-withdrawing groups; and LA is coordinated to a metal M, having an atomic mass of at least 40. Formulations, OLEDs, and consumer products containing the compound are also provided.
Abstract: Techniques are described for implementing a class of multimode bosonic codes that protect against errors within an ancilla qubit coupled to a bosonic system, that can be realized experimentally. A logical qubit state is represented by the states of multiple different modes of one or more bosonic systems, which may include multiple modes of a single bosonic system and/or single modes from multiple bosonic systems. Techniques for correcting errors are also described. In particular, a series of operations are described that autonomously detect and correct errors by repeatedly performing a sequence of operations that are each applied to the multiple bosonic modes and/or to the ancilla qubit that is coupled to each of the bosonic modes. The codes allow ancilla errors to propagate to the modes of the bosonic system as correctable errors, where they can be corrected, instead of presenting as logical errors in the ancilla qubit.
Abstract: A node positioning method for marine environmental monitoring wireless sensor networks is provided, which jointly estimates node positions and path loss factors by considering the node real-time movement and the path loss and absorption effect of underwater communication; transforms an original non-convex problem into a non-negative constrained least squares framework, and finds the optimal solution of marine node positions by two stages of interior point method and block coordinate update. In the first stage, the problem is re-expressed by using the penalty function according to the interior point method to obtain the approximate solution; and in the second stage, the original problem is transformed into a generalized trust region sub-problem, and the approximate solution obtained by the interior point method is used as the initial estimation, the accurate estimation values of the marine node position and path loss factor are obtained by iterative solutions combined with the block coordinate update.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a colorimetric nanosensor for detecting trace-levels of Hg2+ in environmental water, which is composed of Fe7S8 nanosheets, glutathione or its aqueous solution, 3,3?,5,5?-tetramethylbenzidine colorimetric solution, H2O2 aqueous solution, and NaAc-Hac buffer. The preparation method of Fe7S8 nanosheets is as follows: FeCl2·4H2O and CH4N2S are dissolved in ethylene glycol in a mass ratio of (2˜3):1, heated at 200° C. for 10˜15 hours, cooled, centrifuged, washed, and dried to obtain. The colorimetric nanosensor of the present disclosure can quickly and sensitively determine the trace-levels Hg2+ in environmental water. The colorimetric nanosensor of the present disclosure does not rely on large detection instruments, and the nanozymes used is low-cost, stable, and recyclable. It has important practical significance for accurate, fast, and low-cost detection of trace-levels of Hg2+ in environmental water.

Abstract: A process for water, mineral, and/or organics recovery, as well as devices and systems that practice the process, are disclosed. The process may include providing a plurality of evaporator structures, each structure physically separated from the others, and contacting the first end of each evaporator structure with a liquid containing a plurality of materials (such as a solvent and one or more minerals). The process may include allowing capillary forces and siphonic action to draw at least one material of the plurality of materials (which may be, e.g., the solvent, a volatile organic material, and/or a mineral) from the first end towards the second end, and evaporating one or more of the plurality of materials by transferring at least one form of environmental energy (such as solar energy, wind energy, and/or ambient heat of air) directly to each evaporator structure, thereby providing the latent heat of vaporization.

The Kaufman ion thruster includes a discharge chamber, a central cathode, a gas supply assembly, a steel magnetic assembly, an insulating barrier and a grid system, wherein the central cathode is coaxially inserted in the center of a front panel; the gas supply assembly includes an electronegative working substance gas source, a conventional working substance gas source, N electronegative working medium gas supply pipes and N working medium gas supply pipes; the insulating barrier includes a central connecting rod and 2N fins. Self-neutralization can be achieved without the need of neutralizers. In addition, the center-oriented thrust modes can be used for spacecraft orbit control; and the eccentric thrust mode can be used for spacecraft attitude adjustment.

Abstract: A performance test bench device for a centrifugal compressor under a variable working condition of an engine is composed of: a turbine back disk temperature simulator and the centrifugal compressor being coaxially arranged, and being sequentially connected with a speed regulator and a driver. Meanwhile, a thermocouple array is arranged on a surface of a simulator back plate. A temperature measurement probe is arranged at an inlet and an outlet of the centrifugal compressor, and a thermocouple array is also arranged on a surface of a cover plate of the centrifugal compressor and a surface of a rotating blade. An airflow passes through the inlet pipeline, the flow meter and the air inlet rectification system, is pressurized by the centrifugal compressor, and is then discharged by the outlet pipeline.

Abstract: An internal solitary wave (ISW) early warning method for an offshore platform based on a baroclinic mode includes the following steps: S1: providing a hydrophone and a bottom-founded transmitting transducer in a sea area of an offshore platform, and acquiring an actually measured sound pressure; S2: solving a hydrodynamic equation to obtain a baroclinic mode of the sea area of the offshore platform; S3: constructing a seawater sound velocity equation according to the baroclinic mode; S4: transforming the seawater sound velocity equation to obtain a relational expression between an amplitude of the baroclinic mode and a seawater sound velocity; S5: solving, according to the actually measured sound pressure, and the relational expression between the amplitude of the baroclinic mode and the seawater sound velocity, the amplitude of the baroclinic mode with a genetic algorithm (GA); and S6: performing monitoring and early warning on an ISW.
Abstract: A sand column grouting filtration experimental device includes a sand column, a grout injection structure connected above the sand column and a grout exit structure connected below the sand column, the sand column comprises a plurality of connecting units; Four screws are provided around the sand column, and the four screws run through the grout injection structure and grout exit structure; A bottom plate is provided below the grout exit structure, a support plate one and a support plate two are provided between the bottom plate and the grout exit structure, and a sand column consolidation structure is provided between the support plate two and the support plate one. The experiment adopts a segmented combined sand column, in addition to ensuring the experimental results that can be obtained by the general sand column, segmented study of the interception and percolation effect of cement slurry in the sand column is implemented.
