Abstract: A system for treating binocular anomalies. The system includes one or more imaging devices, one or more visual displays, and a computing device. The imaging devices may include right and left imaging devices that capture images of a patient's right and left eyes, respectively. The displays may include right and left displays that provide right and left visual stimulation, respectively. The computing device identifies right and left locations on the right and left retinas, respectively, based at least in part on images of right and left eyes, respectively. The brain fuses images positioned at the right and left locations on the retinas into a single image. The computing device transmits right and left positioning signals to the right and left displays, respectively, that indicate that the right and left visual stimulation, respectively, are to be displayed so they are positioned at the right and left locations, respectively, on the retinas.

Abstract: A volume of a patient can be mapped with a system operable to identify a plurality of locations and save a plurality of locations of a mapping instrument. The mapping instrument can include one or more electrodes that can sense a voltage that can be correlated to a three dimensional location of the electrode at the time of the sensing or measurement. Therefore, a map of a volume can be determined based upon the sensing of the plurality of points without the use of other imaging devices. An implantable medical device can then be navigated relative to the mapping data.

Abstract: [Problem to be Solved] An object of the present invention is to provide novel means for the treatment and diagnosis of cancer. [Solution] The present inventors have obtained a monoclonal antibody against TMPRSS11E and found that this antibody binds to a native form of TMPRSS11E, and TMPRSS11E is highly expressed on the cell membranes of cancer cell lines in flow cytometry. This antibody exhibits antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity activity (ADCC activity) and antitumor effect based on internalization activity and is promising as a therapeutic target. Moreover, this antibody has neutralization activity against protease activity and is also expected to have effect brought about by the inhibition of TMPRSS11E functions.

Abstract: A method of determining the position of a user in 3D space is disclosed. In one example, the method comprises utilizing range measurements from one or more GPS satellite vehicles, angular information of a camera located at the user position, and a camera image associated with one or more known markers. The method further comprises determining the angular information of the camera by determining a direction cosine matrix between a camera frame of reference and an earth frame of reference, and designating unit vectors that individually extend from a position within the camera image associated with one of the known markers through the camera focal point to the respective known marker The method also includes integrating into an ordinary least squares matrix, the GPS range measurements, the angular information of the camera, and the unit vectors, and calculating the user position by solving the ordinary least squares matrix.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing protein microparticles in dilute organic acid solutions and in the absence of an alcohol such as ethanol. The microparticles are formed by dissolving a cereal prolamin protein in a concentrated organic acid solution with agitation and then diluting the solution with an aqueous solution. Protein microparticles having vacuoles are thus formed. The protein microparticles may be used to form powders, films, coatings, matrices, scaffolds and the like. Complete films can be formed from the protein microparticles of the invention.
