Abstract: A method includes identifying an advertisement break in a video program schedule. A target group of subscriber devices to receive advertisements at the advertisement break is also identified. The method includes assigning attributes associated with the target group of subscriber devices to each of a plurality of video client applications. Parameters are provided to a plurality of quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) tuners based on each of the assigned plurality of video client applications. A video stream that includes an advertisement insertion event is received at the scheduled advertisement break from the plurality of QAM tuners. The advertisement insertion event includes an in-band signal that directs each of the assigned plurality of video client applications to tune to an advertisement feed associated with each of the at least one target group of subscriber devices for a duration of the advertisement break.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes an attack traffic mitigation system 1) identifying a range of ports left open by a firewall for a network element to receive network traffic provided by a computing device, 2) designating a subset of one or more ports included in the range of open ports as being included in a legitimate port range configured to receive legitimate network traffic provided by the computing device, and 3) directing the network element to drop network traffic provided by the computing device and received by each port included in the range of open ports that is not included in the legitimate port range. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: An approach is provided for automated user authentication for a priority communication session. An authentication platform receives a session request for establishing a priority communication session over a data network between a user device and a service platform. The authentication platform determines network information and device information associated with the session request and the user device, respectively. The authentication platform further determines user history information regarding one or more prior communication sessions of a user of the user device. The authentication platform authenticates the user based on the network information, the device information, and the user history information for establishing the priority communication session.

Abstract: A first server is configured to receive an image from a first client device. The image may include an instruction to provide a second client device with a computer file. The first server is further configured to store the image, receive a task query from the first client device, and provide a task query response to the first client device based on receiving the task query. The task query response may include an indication that the first server is storing a task associated with the second client device. The first server is further configured to receive an image request from the second client device, communicate with a second server to identify whether the second client device is authorized to receive the image, and provide, to the second client device, the computer file associated with the image based on identifying that the second client device is authorized to receive the image.

Abstract: A method performed by one or more computing devices includes determining a relevancy function of viewer tendencies based on set-top box data from a subscription television service and defining a cluster of set-top boxes based on the relevancy function. The method also includes building a tendency profile for the cluster, the tendency profile including predicted actions for viewers within the cluster. The method further includes assigning the set-top box to the cluster and directing a cluster-oriented presentation to a particular set-top box within the cluster.

Abstract: An approach is disclosed for providing an integrated call and chat conferencing system. A first participant joins in a conference, wherein the first participant communicates over a voice session. The voice session is converted into a text stream and stored. A second participant joins in the conference, wherein the second participant communicates over a chat session. The stored converted text stream is presented to second participant.

Abstract: A device receives multiple identifiers associated with a customer of a network, receives multiple products associated with the customer and provided by the network, groups the multiple identifiers into a single customer identifier, and associates the single customer identifier with the multiple products.

Abstract: A device receives compliance content from a user device, determines requirements associated with the compliance content, and matches the requirements with compliance questions provided in a compliance library associated with the device. The device also automatically generates a compliance questionnaire based on the compliance questions matching the requirements, and provides the compliance questionnaire to the user device. The compliance questionnaire includes a minimum set of compliance questions needed to determine compliance.

Abstract: A first server, associated with a first network, may: receive a first query from a network device associated with a second network; determine an identifier associated with the user device; provide, to a second server, a second query including the identifier; receive, from the second server, a response to the second query, the response identifying whether the identifier of the user device is being stored by the second server; and provide to the network device, a response to the first query, the response to first query identifying whether the user device is authorized to access the second network based on determining that the user device is not authorized to access the second network when the identifier is being stored by the second server or based on determining that the user device is authorized to access the second network when the identifier is not being stored by the second server.

An action is determined based on a received response in response to a determination that the response has been received. The outbound call leg is made available to the network device. The inbound call leg and the outbound call leg are handed off from the IVR device to the network device.
