Abstract: One or more servers may: receive information regarding a content file stored by a device; provide information associated with a first cost value corresponding to a cost to deliver the content file from the device to a user device; receive a delivery instruction directing the one or more servers to provide a portion of the content file to the user device via one or more ports or via one or more access points, each of the one or more ports or the one or more access points being associated with respective one or more second cost values; generate a key associated with the information regarding the content file and with the delivery instruction; receive an indication of selection of the key by the user device; deliver, to the user device, the portion of the content file via the one or more ports or the one or more access points.

Abstract: A user device is configured to request a secure web page from a web page server. The user device is further configured to receive a certificate from the web page server, the certificate including a serial number. The user device is further configured to receive different certificates from a plurality of certificate authentication servers. The user device is further configured to compare the different certificates to the certificate received from the web page server; determine that the certificate is valid; and send information to the web page server based on determining that the certificate is valid.

Abstract: An approach for providing a transient virtual shop is described. A transaction request is received, from a mobile device, for a virtual merchant service. Contextual information relating to the mobile device is determined. Communication is initiated with a merchant system configured to facilitate a transaction associated with the merchant service. Transaction data is received from the merchant system based on the determined contextual information. Transmission of the transaction data is initiated to the mobile device for presentation, wherein the presentation includes projecting a graphical user interface to represent the transaction data. The graphical user interface supports gesture-based input. User input corresponding to the transaction is received via the graphical user interface.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes a chronic care solutions provider system 1) maintaining data representative of a chronic care plan for a patient with a chronic medical condition, 2) providing a notification by way of a patient portal for the patient to use a biometric device to acquire a biometric reading, 3) receiving data representative of the biometric reading acquired by the biometric device, 4) determining that the biometric reading is outside an acceptable range specified in the chronic care plan, 5) generating, in response to the determination that the biometric reading is outside the acceptable range specified in the chronic care plan, an actionable task based on the biometric reading and in accordance with the chronic care plan, and 6) presenting, by way of the patient portal, an interactive task interface configured to facilitate completion by the patient of the actionable task. Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a distribution management device, a request for a content item from a requesting local device. The distribution management device is at a first level of a content distribution architecture, the requesting local device is one of a plurality of local devices at a second level and each local device serves a plurality of sub devices at a third level. A determination whether the requested content item is available from the distribution management device is made. At least one other local device that has the requested content item is identified if the requested content item is not available. A minimum routing cost local device for the requested content to the requesting local device is determined based on the identified at least one other local device. A request for the requested content is sent to the identified minimum routing cost local device.

Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods for user polling are disclosed. An exemplary method includes a service provider subsystem receiving, from a poll provider subsystem, data representative of a poll comprising at least one poll question, transmitting the poll in a first data format to a plurality of translators for translation and distribution to a plurality of access devices associated with a plurality of users and with a plurality of distinct, heterogeneous media platforms, receiving from the plurality of translators, data representative of one or more responses to the at least one poll question provided by one or more of the plurality of access devices, aggregating the data representative of the one or more responses, generating poll results based on the one or more responses, and transmitting data representative of the poll results to the poll provider subsystem and/or the plurality of access devices. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: Delay is measured associated with the transfer of voice signals involving a telephone connected to a PSTN carrier (e.g., non VoIP based) where the call is terminated by an operator agent using a workstation connected to a VoIP based network. A test tone is provided to the telephone causing a tone to be generated at a headset of the workstation. An oscilloscope measures the delay using an input of a first signal associated with the generation of the test tone at the telephone, and a second signal associated with the generation of the resulting tone at the headset. The tone at the headset can be looped back into the headset microphone, causing a return signal to be generated and measured. Once the overall delay is known, and the delay of certain elements are estimated, the delay associated with other network elements, including the workstation, can be determined.

Abstract: A computing device identifies an active user profile, from multiple user profiles, associated with the device and retrieves from an index of stored DVR content, titles for the stored DVR content that are associated with the user profile. The computing device ranks the titles associated with the user profile and generates a list of the titles based on the ranking. The computing device then provides, via a display device and based on the order of the list of the indicators, recommended titles of DVR content for a user to view.

The particular system also provides the particular system workflow to application programming interfaces (APIs) associated with the particular system, and receives, via the APIs, a workflow associated with another system. The particular system further provides, via the APIs, the particular system workflow to the other system, and combines the particular system workflow with the other system workflow to create a combined workflow. The particular system enables a user device to access, via the particular system, one or more of the combined workflow, the particular system workflow, and the other system workflow.
