Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically processing prescription refills and transfers are disclosed. According to certain aspects, a server associated with a pharmacy may receive, from an electronic device, a message including a digital image depicting a container of a prescription. The server may analyze the digital image to identify a set of visual identifiers depicted in the digital image. Based on the set of visual identifiers, the server may determine whether the prescription is associated with the pharmacy and, based on the determination, may facilitate either a refill of the prescription or a transfer of the prescription to the pharmacy.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for anticipating needs of a user through a mobile device of the user. One example method includes receiving, from the mobile device, a location identifier associated with a position within an entity location, the mobile device receiving the location identifier from a wireless transmitter upon entering a predetermined transmission range of the wireless transmitter; starting a first timer upon receiving the location identifier; and initiating a predefined action associated with the position within the entity location upon determining that a time on the first timer exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods may be provided that may enable an individual to retrieve one or more prescription products (e.g., product refills) from a self-service retrieval location such as a counter, drive-thru, drop box, or kiosk. A unique-machine readable code may be associated with a particular medical prescription of a patient, the medical prescription corresponding to one or more prescription products. The unique machine-readable code may be transmitted to a computing device of the individual, who may scan the code at the retrieval location. Identification of the unique machine-readable code may result in dispensing of the one or more prescription products associated with the medical prescription.

Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method for providing an automated translation engine for translating a prescription into a standardized format is generally disclosed. More particularly, embodiments described in this disclosure relate to a system, apparatus, and method for automatically receiving a prescription form, analyzing information provided on the prescription form, and translating the information into a standardized form that details medication information including medication administration directions that are easy for a reader to understand.

Abstract: A method for automatically mapping a store layout includes identifying a path for traversing a retail area and capturing images of the retail area at various points along the path. The images may be analyzed to identify visual characteristics which may be compared to a template of retail products in a template library. When an object depicted in the image matches with a retail product in the template library, the object may correspond to the retail product. Additionally, a retail department for the object may also be identified. The retail department may be compared to the retail product corresponding to the object, and when the retail product is not associated with the retail department, another retail product which is associated with the retail department may be identified as corresponding to the object. A map of the store layout may be generated based on the identified retail products.

Abstract: An immunization web portal may identify whether a patient is eligible to receive vaccines for a specified vaccine-preventable disease. The patient's eligibility may be identified by comparing biographical data and medical characteristics for the patient to a set of eligibility requirements according to state and federal law. If the patient is eligible, the immunization web portal may display indications of several vaccines corresponding to the vaccine-preventable disease, and a user such as a pharmacist or technician may select one of the vaccines so that the selected vaccine may be administered to the patient.

Abstract: A shelf system may include first and second support rails, each of the first and second support rails including two respective edge retaining slots configured to receive respective wall panels. The shelf system may further include a wall panel disposed between the first and second support rails, particularly between edge retaining slots of the first and second support rails. First and second electrical supply rails may be disposed within a front surface of the wall panel, and may be electrically insulated from the first and second support rails. One or more light fixtures, such as a light box fixture or a shelf fixture including light emitting diodes, may be mounted on the first and second support rails, such that each light fixture comes into electrical contact with the electrical supply rails to provide electrical current to each light fixture when connected to a power supply.

Abstract: Systems and methods may be provided that may enable an individual to retrieve one or more prescription products (e.g., product refills) from a self-service retrieval location such as a counter, drive-thru, drop box, or kiosk. A unique-machine readable code may be associated with a particular one or more prescription products (e.g., associated with a medical prescription of a patient). The unique machine-readable code may be provided to a computing device of the individual, along with an anticipated time of preparedness of the one or more products for retrieval at the retrieval location. Identification of the unique machine-readable code may result in dispensing of the one or more prescription products associated at the retrieval location.

Abstract: Techniques for automatically securing receptacles of a retailer via an electronic lock include receiving a user request to reserve a receptacle, selecting a suitable receptacle based on one or more conditions, some of which may be specified by the user, and transmitting an electronic locking signal to secure, and thereby reserve, the selected receptacle. An association between the reserved receptacle and the user is stored, and the user is electronically notified. Subsequently, an electronic signal indicative of the identification of the user (or of the user's agent) is locally received. Upon determination that the user is expected and associated with the reserved receptacle, the techniques include causing an electronic unlocking signal to be transmitted to the electronic lock, thereby unlocking the receptacle.

Abstract: Methods and systems for preventing the cropping of faces depicted by digital photographs are provided. To this end, the methods and systems may automatically detect the presence of faces depicted by the digital photographs and generate a facial boundary for the faces. The methods and system may also generate a crop boundary at which the photograph is cropped. In some scenarios, the systems and methods attempt to locate the crop boundary on the digital photograph to prevent omitting a portion of the facial boundary. Additionally or alternatively, users are provided an interface to manually set a location for the crop boundary. The user is warned if the crop boundary omits a portion of the facial boundary. The digital photographs and crop boundaries are sent to a printer to generate a physical print of the digital photographs.

Abstract: Security flaps for use with cash trays and cash trays including such security flaps are disclosed. An apparatus includes a cash tray having a base and a plurality of walls that extend from the base and define a plurality of paper-currency compartments. A plurality of distal edges of the walls define openings of the paper-currency compartments. A spring-biased security flap is coupled to the cash tray and adapted to engage or be immediately adjacent the distal edges of the walls of at least one of the paper-currency compartments to cover the corresponding opening.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to leverage third party “cookie stitchers” for cross-device user identification, which may be used by a network server to selectively provide content to a user. The techniques include a cookie stitcher associating a user with multiple computing devices, which in turn notifies the network server when the same user requests access to provided content on separate occasions from different computing devices. The cookie stitcher may also have access to a user record regarding the identified user, and may provide this record data to the network server to identify other characteristics about the user. Based upon the particular type of information that is identified, the network server may provide varying degrees of access to content and/or allow the user to interact with one or more applications supported by the network server in different ways.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a seamless user experience across electronic and physical retail stores of a retailer include storing, locally with a session corresponding to a user's visit to the retailer's electronic store, indications of items that were viewed and/or focused on by the user at the electronic store. At least some of said indications may be transferred to a centralized data storage of the retailer for persistence after the session is terminated. Subsequently, an electronic device operated by the user may determine its location and determine, based on its location, a particular physical retail store of the retailer. Via communications with one or more retailer servers, items that were recently viewed by the user at the electronic store may be identified, and indications thereof may be presented on the display of the electronic device in conjunction with information corresponding to the recently viewed items at the particular physical store.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for location-based notification display includes receiving an indication that a user launched an application at the mobile device. Launching the application changes the application from a background state to a launched state. While the application is in the launched state: requesting a location of the mobile device, based on the location of the mobile device, determining one or more entity locations, and causing the mobile device to register the one or more entity locations. While the application is in the background state: causing the mobile device to register one or more location-triggered notifications, wherein each location-triggered notification is associated with a corresponding entity location.

Abstract: The method and system may provide a seamless handoff of user information from a drugstore to a call agent. When a customer communicates with a drugstore device regarding a drugstore-related inquiry, the drugstore device attempts to identify an answer to the drugstore-related inquiry. When the drugstore device does not identify an answer to the drugstore-related inquiry, the drugstore device initiates communication between the customer and a contact center. A transcribed version of the communication may be stored in a database accessible by the contact center along with additional user information for the customer related to the customer's experiences with the drugstore. The user information may be provided to a call agent's contact center device for display and in this manner, the call agent may be made aware of the communication to avoid asking repeat questions and to quickly and efficiently answer the customer's drugstore-related inquiry.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to provide enhanced online security. When user authenticating information is provided to access secure content, a network server identifies the user via a website identifier. Some of the disclosed techniques leverage third party “cookie stitchers” to associate user data, which may include a website identifier, to the user's computing devices. If the cookie stitcher cannot identify a current computing device, or if a current website identifier does not match one stored in the user data, then 2-factor authentication (2FA) may be triggered. Other disclosed techniques leverage stored device management data (DMD), which uniquely identifies each computing device that is associated with a website identifier. These techniques allow the network server to block access to explicitly-identified computing devices, and to trigger 2FA unless specific computing device metrics, which are associated with a computing device, are matched to computing device metrics contained in the DMD.

Abstract: A system for associating a person under the legal guardianship of a user with a profile of the user for managing and refilling medications is disclosed. An electronic device of the user captures a digital image of medication information of the person under the user's legal guardianship. Visual identifiers in the medication information encode information regarding the person such as medication information. The electronic device may transmit a request on behalf of the user to associate the person under the user's legal guardianship with a profile of the user for managing medications and other requests on behalf of the person under the user's legal guardianship.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed to determine customer's prescription information and their position while waiting in a drive-thru lane. The drive-thru lane may have one or more transmitters installed at predetermined locations. By utilizing an application installed on each customer's mobile computing device, each mobile computing device may transmit customer information and ranging data when within range of one or more of the transmitters. The ranging data may include an indication of a range between each of the customer's mobile computing device and one or more proximate transmitters. By correlating the customer information to prescription information from recently filled and/or called in prescriptions, each customer's prescription order may be retrieved. Furthermore, by analyzing the ranging data, the position of each customer in the drive-thru lane may be determined.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed to determine customer's pick-up information and their position while waiting at a brick-and-mortar store. A brick-and-mortar store computing device is disclosed that may display each customer's position at the brick-and-mortar store along with their pick-up order information.

Abstract: A method and system may provide a new prescription order interface which allows a customer to order one or more new prescription medications in a quick and easy manner from a remote location using a computer or mobile device. The customer provides a new paper prescription image that includes the prescription data for a pharmacy to fill the new prescription order. The new paper prescription image is received by a server and a default pickup store and a default pickup time are determined. The server also determines whether there is a high risk that the new prescription order is fraudulent by comparing a signature in the new paper prescription image to stored signatures associated with the prescriber, and comparing distances between the locations of the customer's web-enabled device, the pharmacy, and the prescriber. The system may be accessed through a series of web pages and/or via an application.
