Abstract: An oral irrigator has a removable reservoir defining a reservoir cavity, a base unit housing a motor and a pump, and a handle for directing fluid flow from the pump removably connected to the base unit and fluidly coupled to the pump by a hose. The handle has a housing defining a slot formed in an outer wall of the housing. The slot is bounded by two opposing walls spaced apart from each other and a transverse wall at a terminal interior end of the opposing walls. The outer wall of the housing is open to the slot at lateral sides of the two opposing walls and at a base end of the opposing walls opposite the transverse wall.
Abstract: A showerhead bracket including a bracket body, a spool rotatable relative to the bracket body, and a flow control knob non-rotatably connected to the spool such that the flow control knob and the spool rotate together relative to the bracket body. The flow control knob non-slidably connected to the spool to inhibit axial disengagement of the flow control knob from the spool.

Abstract: An oral irrigator handle for receiving an oral hygiene agent is described. The handle may be connected to a countertop oral irrigator or may be a portion of a handheld oral irrigator. The handle includes a chamber for receiving the oral hygiene agent, where the chamber body positioned within the fluid path of the handle. Fluid flowing into the handle, flows into the chamber, allowing the fluid to intermix with the agent, and then flows from the chamber to a tip connected to the handle.
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a showerhead with a plurality of modes. The showerhead includes an engine defining a plurality of fluid channels or pathways. Two modes or mode apertures are in fluid communication with a first fluid channel, and another mode or mode aperture is in fluid communication with a second fluid channel. Additionally, the present disclosure is related to a method of producing a massaging spray mode for a showerhead. The method includes fluidly connecting a plurality of nozzles to a fluid source wherein each of the first plurality of nozzles are opened substantially simultaneously, and fluidly disconnecting the first plurality of nozzles from the fluid source wherein each of the nozzles within the first plurality of nozzles are closed substantially simultaneously.

Abstract: An oral irrigator includes a base having a pump mechanism, a reservoir housed within the base and fluidically connected with the pump mechanism. A handle with a jet tip is connected with an outlet from the pump mechanism to receive a pressurized fluid stream from the reservoir to direct a fluid at a surface inside an oral cavity. The oral irrigator also includes a radiant energy source and delivery system for directing radiant energy at a surface inside an oral cavity.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a massage mode assembly for a showerhead is disclosed. The massage mode assembly includes a drive element, a cam, and a shutter. The drive element has a drive element length or diameter, depending on the shape of the drive element, and is rotatable about an axis by fluid flowing through the showerhead. The cam is connected to the drive element and rotates with the drive element. The shutter is operably engaged with the cam and has a shutter length that is longer than the drive element length and the rotation of the cam causes the shutter to move correspondingly.
Abstract: An oral irrigator including a handle housing defining a cavity, a tip removably connected to the handle housing, and a tip release assembly connected to the handle housing. The tip release assembly includes a tip eject button slidably connected to the handle housing and movable between a first position and a second position and a latch connected to the handle housing and positioned within the cavity. Movement of the tip eject button from the first position to the second position moves the latch laterally across the cavity from an engage position to a disengage position.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an oral cleansing device with illumination features. In one example, a diffuser for diffusing light is disclosed. The diffuser includes a first membrane configured to be positioned over a first light source, a second membrane coupled to the first membrane and configured to be positioned over a second light source; and a bridge coupling the first membrane to the second membrane, where the bridge extends from an edge of the first membrane to an edge of the second membrane in an indirect manner.
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a showerhead. The showerhead includes a housing defining a fluid inlet and a chamber in fluid communication with the fluid inlet, a rotatable turbine received in the chamber and including an eccentric cam positioned on a downstream side of the turbine, and a shutter positioned on the downstream side of the turbine. The shutter includes a shutter body defining an oval-shaped aperture in which the eccentric cam is received such that the shutter oscillates along a rectilinear path as the turbine rotates.

Abstract: An actuation assembly for an oral irrigator includes a bezel secured to or formed as part of a housing of the oral irrigator, an actuator operably connected to the bezel and moveable relative thereto, and an augmentation fluid positioned between the bezel and the actuator. The augmentation fluid modifies a frictional relationship between the bezel and the actuator to provide a predefined resistance force between the actuator and the bezel as the actuator is rotated relative to the bezel.
Abstract: Consumable abrasive-containing oral hygiene tablets are described. The tablets include glycine as an abrasive. The glycine average (Mv) particle size may be greater than 45 ?m. The tablets may be used with an oral irrigator and, when placed in the irrigator's fluid flow path, may disintegrate, release the abrasive, and improve the cleaning efficacy of the irrigator.
