Abstract: A sear mechanism for a firearm includes a trigger element having one or more contact surfaces on which one or more movable or pivotable components of the sear mechanism selectively contacts or slides. In some embodiments, the trigger element is made by producing an intermediate workpiece of the trigger element by a manufacturing process, and electric discharge machining the intermediate workpiece of the trigger element to provide the contact surfaces.
Abstract: A trigger mechanism is provided with selectable pull characteristics. The trigger mechanism can include a mode selector element configured to select one of a plurality of disconnector elements designed to provide different pull characteristics. The trigger mechanism can include a trigger element including a trigger sear, a plurality of disconnector elements, a hammer element, and a mode selector. Each disconnector element can provide different pull characteristics. The hammer element is operable between a cocked position and a released position and includes a hammer sear configured to engage the trigger sear when the hammer element is in the cocked position. The mode selector element is adjustable between a plurality of positions to select between the different pull characteristics.
Abstract: A barrel installation assembly is used for easily installing a barrel onto a receiver of a firearm with proper torque and alignment. The barrel installation assembly includes a barrel nut, barrel nut spacers, and a barrel installation tool. The barrel nut is configured to fasten the barrel to the receiver. The barrel nut spacers are configured to be interposed between the barrel nut and the receiver when the barrel is fastened thereto. The barrel installation tool includes a head portion configured to removably engage with the barrel nut, and a handle portion extending from the head portion.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an ergonomic handguard that supports rail mounted weapon accessories in a variety of different orientations. The handguard includes sides and bottom surfaces that are ergonomic. The stem includes modular sections of picatinny rail that can be attached to various locations on the handguard as needed to provide a mounting structure for rail based weapon accessories.
