The required information conveyance amount extraction module extracts a required information conveyance amount required to perform the irregular business from attribute information conveyance amount correspondence information when it is determined by the determination module that the business contents is the irregular business. The actual information conveyance amount extraction module extracts an actual information conveyance amount of a person who performs the subject business based on activity information of the person.
Abstract: With respect to position candidates E and D where an image forming apparatus A is arranged, movement distances of the respective users in the position candidate E and the position candidate D are experimentally calculated based on use results of the users B and C. The side having a smaller sum value is calculated as the position candidate that can minimize the burden of necessary movement for all the users.

Abstract: A computer-based method is provided for enabling navigation of video using a keyframe-based video browser on a display device with a limited screen size, for a video segmented into video shots. The video shots are clustered by similarity, while temporal order of the video shots is maintained. A hierarchically organized navigation tree is produced for the clusters of video shots, while the path lengths of the tree are minimized.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes an input section, a position calculation section, a storage section, a log information record section, a display data generation section and a display section. The input section receives document identification information, which are output as output signals from respective transmission portions set to correspond to respective documents, and user identification information, which are output as output signals from respective transmission portions set to correspond to users. The position calculation section calculates document positions and user positions based on the document identification information and the user identification information. The storage section stores the calculated document positions and the calculated user positions. The log information record section records document use histories of the users based on the stored document positions and the stored user positions.
Abstract: A method of detecting background noise in a rendered electronic image derived from an electronic image includes capturing a rendered image to generate captured image data. From the captured image data, a subset of the image data corresponding to a region of interest in the electronic image comprising only blank pixels is identified. For the subset of image data, any background noise in the rendered image not present in the electronic image is detected from the image data.
Abstract: The computer algorithm described which indexes and retrieves images. A query in the form of an image object or an image facilitates image retrieval in order to retrieve several images close to user's request. A thumbnail form of rank ordered images is provided for viewing. The user selects the images and down loads the images for inclusion in the job. The images are then ripped and printed.
Abstract: A sheet supply device includes a sheet storing section on which sheets are stacked and are stored; a sheet feed unit controlled by a controller that feeds the sheets stored in the sheet storing section to a next process; and an air blower controlled by the controller that blows air to the sheets stored in the sheet storing section, the air blower has an air nozzle and a mechanism that can adjust a height of the air nozzle in an up-down direction, and the mechanism increases or decreases the air flow rate of the air being blown to the sheets, wherein a force provided by the air blower to push up the sheets is exerted on the sheets, such that a less force is exerted when the sheets are being fed compared to when the sheets are not being fed.
Abstract: A system calculates appropriate billing within an imaging pipeline. An input component receives an image that is described as a plurality of pixels. A PDL component receives the image and determines a location, a color and a designation for each of the one or more pixels. A marking engine modifies the one or more pixels based at least in part on the location and the color provided by the PDL component and places each of the one or more pixels as a monochrome or a composite pixel on a substrate. An analysis component counts the number of monochrome and composite pixels placed on the substrate by the marking engine, the number of composite pixels that include a designation are counted as monochrome. A billing component calculates the cost for placing each of the monochrome and the composite pixels counted by the analysis component.
