Abstract: An image processor includes a signal acquiring unit, a first converting unit, a signal specifying unit and a second converting unit. The signal acquiring unit acquires a signal in a color space having a perceptual property. The first converting unit converts the signal acquired by the signal acquiring unit into a first color signal in a color-mapping space having an equilightness-equihue plane. The signal specifying unit specifies a second color signal in the color-mapping color space corresponding to the first color signal, as a color-gamut mapping process. The second converting unit converts the second color signal specified by the signal specifying unit into a signal in a same color space as the color space to which the signal acquired by the signal acquiring unit belongs.

Abstract: A printing system includes a control system which processes an input print job to place it in a form for printing on a print engine. A user interface, in communication with the control system, is configured for receiving, from a user, adjustments to at least one geometric parameter for images of the print job to be applied to front and back sides of a sheet, whereby the geometric parameter is adjustable for the front and back sides independently. A print engine renders the print job on print media in accordance with received adjustments to the at least one geometric parameter.

Abstract: The presently disclosed embodiments are directed to an improved low wear overcoat for an imaging member having a substrate, a charge transport layer, and an overcoat layer positioned on the charge transport layer, and a process for preparing the same, where the overcoat layer includes an aromatic polyol binder, a hole transport molecule, and a melamine formaldehyde curing resin.
Abstract: System and method for encapsulating edges of a paper in digital printing systems. A spray applicator can include a set of stationary sprayers with spray nozzles, a set of transfer rollers and an inkjet print head. The stationary sprayers can be positioned at both marginal ends of the paper. The stationary sprayers apply the fluid through the spray nozzles at edges of the moving paper to encapsulate the edges of the paper such that loose paper fibers and debris are bound to the paper. The fluid can be applied when the transfer rollers can pass the moving paper through a printer or printing press. Thus, the system can protect various subsystems of the printer or printing press against contamination due to the loose paper fibers and debris.

Abstract: A method of producing a packaged uses an electronic user interface to receive a first image of an object to be packaged, along with information relating to one or more properties of the object. A three dimensional size for the object is determined, and a package is automatically selected. Based on the object properties, a packing material type is automatically determined. Based upon the size and the selected package, a packing material amount is determined.
