Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a cylindrically-shaped feed portion that is fed with toner from above; a transport path including an inlet through which the toner transported from the feed portion enters and transporting the toner therethrough; and a transporting member including a rotary shaft provided to extend from the feed portion to the transport path, the rotary shaft being provided with a small-diameter portion on an upstream side thereof and a large-diameter portion on a downstream side thereof in the toner transport direction, and transports the toner along the transport path, the large-diameter portion being provided inside the transport path, the large-diameter portion having an end portion on the upstream side thereof in the toner transport direction to be connected to the small-diameter portion, the end portion being provided on a side of the feed portion of the inlet of the transport path in the toner transport direction.

Abstract: An image processor includes: a receiving unit that receives an input of image data in a first color space; a first color conversion unit that performs color conversion of the image data received by the receiving unit to image data formed of a first combination of color components in a second color space; a second color conversion unit that performs color conversion of the image data received by the receiving unit to image data formed of a second combination of color components in the second color space, the second combination being different from the first combination; and an image generating unit that generates an image based on at least the image data generated by the first and second color conversion units. Each of the first and second combinations includes a smaller number of color components than the number of color materials to be used in formation of an image.

Abstract: A separation unit is provided on a downstream side of a contact area between a belt-like rotating body and a pressure rotating body. The separation unit includes a pressure member, a guide portion and a pressure portion. The pressure member extends along a width direction of the belt-like rotating body, and presses the belt-like rotating body to deform the belt-like rotating body into a bent shape changing a course away from a surface of the pressure rotating body. The guide portion is on the pressure rotating body side of the pressure member to guide the belt-like rotating body so that an angle portion of the bent shape bites into the pressure rotating body. The pressure portion is on the surface in the pressure rotating body side, and the surface separates sequentially from the pressure rotating body in the extending direction from a center portion to an end portion.

Abstract: This is a waste cyclone toner dispense system with a controlled gate and a collection bag below the gate. The controlled gate prevents pressure from entering the bag thereby permitting the use of relatively inexpensive bags for collection of toner debris. The gate has rotating blades tightly pushed against a sealing wall, such as rubber or the like. The wall must prevent pressure from reaching the bag and remaining only above the bag. The rotating blades convey waste toner from an upper collection to the collection bag.

Abstract: An image arrangement supporting device includes: a detection unit that detects a state in which plural images associated with drawing attributions different from each other are arranged on one virtual medium; and an output unit that outputs information indicating that at least one of the plural images is not formed on one real medium with a drawing attribution associated with the at least one of the plural images, in accordance with detection of the state by the detection unit.

The controlled gate is configured to be opened and closed at a predetermined time thereby permitting the use of relatively inexpensive bags for collection of toner debris. The gate is hinged to permit easy opening by a controller and motor. The controller turns off any pressure while the gate is open. The drop gate conveys when open waste toner from an upper waste collection funnel to the collection bag.

The packet control portion includes a counting unit that counts a total number of received packets and a number of loss packets in the IFP packet. The image communicating control portion includes a calculating unit that calculates a loss ratio of the IFP packet from a rate of the number of loss packets to the total number of received packets which is counted by the counting unit in a receipt of a post message; and a response signal returning unit that returns a retraining negative signal to an apparatus on a transmitting side for the image information in response to the post message, and returns a message confirming signal to the apparatus on the transmitting side in response to the post message.
