Abstract: A color processing method includes setting a color gamut constituted by combinations of values of M color components, wherein each combination has a minimum total sum of the values of the M color components among combinations that provide a corresponding one of target colors, and each combination meets a predetermined limitation; obtaining output color signals each having values of the M color components by controlling, within a range meeting the predetermined limit, combinations each providing any of colors within the set color gamut; and generating pairs each having a corresponding one of the output color signals and an input color signal which is in an input color space, corresponds to the corresponding one of the output color signals, represents a color within the set color gamut, and has values of N color components as elements where N is an integer smaller than M.
Abstract: A prediction table is stored in an NVM and an in-apparatus temperature is measured by a temperature sensor, a registration control adjustment based on the prediction table is carried out if an absolute value of a variation in the in-apparatus temperature is smaller than a threshold, and a registration adjusting patch is formed to actually measure a positional shift amount if the absolute value of the variation in the in-apparatus temperature is equal to or greater than the threshold. When the positional shift amount measured actually is greatly different from a value of the prediction table, the value of the prediction table is modified into the actually measured value.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, device, and computer readable medium transform a markup language document from a digital form to a user-specified form on a display device. Based on a configuration file, a digital markup language document is processed. For a current navigated-to page in the markup language document, context is set to a page node, and a page transformation is performed by the computer. A selection language expression is evaluated, and a node transformation is performed. The node transformation may include setting context, determining the type of decoration associated with the current context, reading the selection language expressions, computing a decoration parameter value for each of the decoration parameters associated with each declaration, and creating and displaying a decoration based on the computed decoration parameter values. The steps may be repeated for remaining markup language node and for each remaining decoration declaration.

Abstract: A process transfers an image from an intermediate imaging member onto a sheet of recording media while preserving the ability to duplex print on the sheet. The process includes generating an image on an intermediate imaging member as the intermediate imaging member rotates in a first direction, synchronizing a sheet of recording media with the image on the intermediate member as the intermediate imaging member continues to rotate in the first direction, transferring the image from the intermediate imaging member onto the sheet of recording media as the intermediate imaging member continues to rotate in the first direction, and limiting release agent on the intermediate imaging member to a level that preserves duplex printing capability on the sheet of recording media.

Abstract: An original comprises a first page and a second page as disposed face-down on the platen surface of an image-processing device. The platen is scanned to form a platen image. The positions of two diagonally-opposite corners of the original are determined based on a fixed platen reference point. An original image is formed by cropping the platen image based on the positions of the two original corners. The size and position of either one selected page or both pages are determined based on the two original corner positions. When the image of only one selected page is desired, the image of the selected page is formed by cropping the original image based on the size and position of the selected page. When the images of both pages are desired, the images of both pages are formed by cropping the original image based on the sizes and positions of both pages.
Abstract: Ghosting conditions occur less frequently during duplex printing when a transfix roller in a printer is enabled to remain in rolling contact with release agent on a print drum after a trailing edge of a media sheet has left a transfix nip between the transfix roller and the print drum.
