  • Patent number: 7107526
Abstract: A software program is installed somewhere on a network and acts as a custom proxy service. The software is used to filter content returning from a source to a web browser. At an appropriate point in the returning data stream, non-selectable content, such as, for example a corporate logo, or selectable content, such as, for example, a linking to other document sources or a print function, is injected. If the selectable content requires support processing, the software program installed on the network will process the selectable content and provide an end user with the processed information without requiring the end user's downloading device to process the downloaded information.

  • Patent number: 7106477
Abstract: In a digital copier having an input scanner and a printer, image placement or magnification errors which relate to the input scanner can be corrected in copies made at the printer. A person feeds into the input scanner a special test pattern sheet. The copy of the test pattern may exhibit readily-detectable image defects, manifest as “readings” which the user can communicate to the computer, such as through a user interface. A control system in the computer can take the readings and use them to correct attributes of prints made in subsequent copying operations.

  • Patent number: 7107205
Abstract: A method prepares a functional finite-state transducer (FST) with an epsilon or empty string on the input side for factorization into a bimachine. The method creates a left-deterministic input finite-state automation (FSA) by extracting and left-determinizing the input side of the functional FST. Subsequently, the corresponding sub-paths in the FST are identified for each arc in the left-deterministic FST and aligned.

  • Patent number: 7103833
Abstract: When print data PD generated by applications 100 is supplied to a graphics library 110 in an order of describing objects, the graphics library 110 makes correspond print data PD to objects so as to store print data PD in a metafile 120. After print data for one page has been stored in the metafile 120, the metafile 120 is retrieved. Thus, print data PD is reconstructed for each band. A printer driver 130 converts reconstructed print data PD into the PDL data PD? so as to transfer the PDL data PD? to an output apparatus 2. A decomposer 140 does not generate intermediate format data and directly develops the PDL data PD? in a band buffer 22. An output device 24 reads raster data RD from the band buffer 22 so as to print an image on a paper sheet.

  • Patent number: 7101030
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for forming a channel wafer for a novel ink jet printhead, having an ink particle-filter layer over the ink-inlet surface thereof. The process comprises the steps of applying a thin coating of a heat-curable, photopatternable polymer composition to an intermediate substrate having a release surface and drying the coating to form a semi-solid adhesive layer. The layer and supporting substrate are pressed against the ink-inlet surface of a channel wafer with an optional adhesive layer to bond the layer to the ink inlet surface. The substrate is separated to transfer the contacting area of the semi-solid layer to the ink-inlet surface as a laminate, and the semi-solid layer is exposed through a filter-forming mask and ink particle-filter openings are developed therethrough, either before or after transfer of the semi-solid adhesive layer from the intermediate substrate to the ink-inlet surface of the channel wafer, and the filter layer is cured.
