Abstract: A toner composition includes a thermoset resin, cross-linking agent, and optionally additives such as colorants. The thermally cross-linkable toner composition may be fixed, using standard fusing systems, to yield images that withstand rigorous processing conditions, such as, for example, the high temperatures reached in flexible packaging processes.
Abstract: A fuser system of a xerographic device, including a fuser member and a pressure member in which the pressure member is made to exert pressure upon the fuser member so as to form a nip having a nip width between the fuser member and the pressure member, wherein the nip width is set to within a specification nip width range, a drive system for driving said fuser member relative to said pressure roll; a sensor for monitoring the torque of said drive system; a processor in communication with the sensor that receives torque data from the sensor, wherein the processor determines a current nip pressure uniformity from the torque data and compares the current nip pressure uniformity to the specification nip pressure uniformity range, and a nip pressure adjustment device in communication with the processor, which adjusts the current nip pressure uniformity to be within the specification nip pressure uniformity range.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program for operating an application server using email messages uses the address format of the email address of an incoming email message to invoke an application to process the content of an incoming message. Each application available on the server defines acceptable address formats of the email addresses of messages that it will accept for processing. An application may generate a reply to an incoming email message, or may generate an event, to advance processing of a task. The application server may also determine a recipient email address of an actual recipient of the incoming e-mail, and transmit the incoming e-mail message to the recipient email address. In this case, the application server functions by interposing itself in the email channel between two recipients.

Abstract: The present invention provides a toner for developing an electrostatic latent image comprising at least a core layer including at least a coloring agent and a first binder resin, and a shell layer for covering the core layer and including a second binder resin, wherein two local maximum values of the tangent loss (tan ?) of the dynamic visco-elasticity are present in a temperature range of 90° C. or less, with one of the local maximum values present in a range of less than 60° C., and the other local maximum value present in a range of 60° C. or more and 90° C. or less. Moreover, a production method for the toner for developing an electrostatic latent image, a developer for developing an electrostatic latent image, using the toner, and an image forming method are provided.
Abstract: A method and or a device for comprehensive temperature calibration of a full width array (FWA) image sensor may minimize loss of productivity and/or image quality. Multiple temperature sensors disposed along a width of the FWA image sensor may provide temperature points used to correct for temperature shifts in output of individual pixel sensors of the FWA image sensor. Under control of a microprocessor, a real-time correction may be calculated for each pixel of the FWA image sensor. The correction may be based upon a real-time temperature profile of the FWA image sensor and temperature dependent factors of at least one calibration equation. The factors may be predetermined, or be determined at factory test, at warm-up or at a specified time.
Abstract: A fault diagnosis section activates a driving compornent alone, measures an operation state signal and a paper passage time, and stores feature values (Vm, ?v, Tqs, ?ts) extracted as a determination reference in a storage medium. A paper passage fault determination section determines whether or not a fault has arisen on the basis of the paper passage time when an apparatus is under normal operating conditions. A diagnosis target block determination section determines an order to operate a detail fault diagnosis when it is determined that there is a plurality of diagnosis target blocks.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing an image recording body comprising: image-forming, to form an image on a surface of a film by an electrophotographic method; positioning, by overlaying the film onto a support so that at least one side of the support and a side of the film on which the image is formed are opposed to each other so as to obtain a laminate body; and heating and pressing the laminate body, wherein cleaning at least one of a surface of the laminate, a surface of the film and a surface of the support is conducted during at least one of a timing between the positioning and the heating and pressing and a timing between the image-forming and the positioning. Abstract: Electron charging of particles, as may be associated with electrographic and/or xerographic image forming devices, powder coat finishing devices and/or guns, or the like, is performed by subjecting a stream of particles to electron bombardment from at least one electrode overcoated with nanotubes, such as carbon nanotubes. An alternating electric field may be employed to reduce the possibility of charged particles being deposited on opposing electrodes in an electron charging zone defined by the electrodes. Particles of varying sizes, and of irregular shapes, may be uniformly charged while required input voltages to the system are reduced based on efficiencies gained through nanotube technology.
