Abstract: A high power MOSFET semiconductor having a high breakdown voltage. The new power device concept that reaches an area of a lower specific on-resistance, higher breakdown voltage and reduced device silicon area. This device architecture is built on the concepts of charge compensation in the drift region of the device. Where, the doping of the vertical drift region is increased by one order of magnitude. To counterbalance the added charges, fine-structured wells of opposite doping type to the drift region are introduced as part of the device structure. The charge compensation wells do not contribute to the on-state current conduction, therefore, this novel new generation of high voltage device architecture breaks the limit line of silicon. This architecture may extend to higher material resistivity and larger geometry to increase the voltage to 1kv plus.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus has an image supporting body that supports a toner image and an exposure part that exposes the image supporting body. The image forming apparatus also has a transfer part for transferring the toner image formed on the image supporting body onto a recording medium and a fixing device that fixes the toner image transferred onto the recording medium to the recording medium. Moreover a control part and a power supply part and a blowing unit are held by the image forming apparatus and the blowing unit generates an air flow. The control part, the power supply part, and the exposure part are disposed at an upstream side of the air flow generated by the blowing unit, and the fixing device is disposed at a downstream side.
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for forming a novel ink jet printhead which comprises: (a) providing a lower substrate in which one surface thereof has an array of drop generating elements and addressing electrodes formed thereon; (b) depositing onto the release surface of an intermediate film support a photopatternable layer comprising a precursor polymer which is a phenolic novolac resin having glycidyl ether functional groups; (c) prebaking the photopatternable layer to dry, semi-solid condition; (d) laminating the dry, semi-solid layer to the surface of the lower substrate under heat and pressure and separating it from the release surface of the intermediate film support; (e) exposing the photopatternable layer to actinic radiation in an imagewise pattern corresponding to ink nozzles and developing to form a nozzle plate section, and (f) removing the precursor polymer from the unexposed areas, thereby forming ink nozzle recesses which are aligned to communicate with the drop generating elements and terminal ends o
Abstract: In a xerographic printer including a fuser having a heating element, a first predetermined power level is applied to the heating element. The voltage associated with the element is measured, yielding a code which is applied to a look-up table. The output of the look-up table relates to power to be applied to the element in a time interval T going forward: the output sets forth what power level is to be applied to the element for a smaller interval t within interval T, and what power level is to be applied to the element for the balance of the interval T.
Abstract: A system and method for implementing data transfer security mechanisms. The method includes a first component transferring a data type handler object to a second component. The second interface invokes an interface accessible through the date type handler object which includes instructions that are executed by the second component to implement a data transfer security mechanism. Further, the data type handler interface can be encrypted, include cryptographic keys, and/or include digital signatures.

Abstract: An image forming method including a charging step, a latent image forming step, a developing step, a transfer step, and a cleaning step, wherein remaining toner recovered in the cleaning step is used as recycled toner, and a ratio of the recycled toner to a total amount of supply toner supplied to a developer is 15% by weight or greater.
Abstract: A fuser roll as used in xerographic printing includes an outer wall defining a cylindrical surface. On an interior surface of the roll is defined one or more spiral ribs to support the structure of the roll. The rib may be formed of one piece with the outer wall, or the rib can be attached to the inner surface by an adhesive.

Abstract: In a copier or input scanner wherein original documents are manually placed on a platen for scanning, when a platen cover is lowered over the document and approaches a closed position, a control system initiates a scanning operation while locking the platen cover in the closed position. After the scanning operation is completed, the platen cover is automatically pushed into an open position as a visual cue to the user that a new document may be scanned. The system facilitates manual scanning of odd-shaped documents, such as successive pages of bound books.
Abstract: A double-sided printing apparatus includes: a first printing control unit which receives printing data including page-number information per slip so as to print a slip on the obverse of a sheet by selecting printing data for printing on the obverse; and a second printing control unit which receives size information of the slip to be printed on the obverse as well as printing data for printing on the reverse of the sheet. The second printing control reads a mark printed on the obverse by using a mark reading sensor at a timing according to the size information, and compares page-number information obtained by reading the mark with that included in the printing data for printing on the reverse, so as to print, on the reverse of one page of the sheet, a slip having the page-number following that of the slip printed on the obverse of the same page.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a methodology for assembling a document from content spanning multiple web-pages. Given a starting location, one process analyzes a single page at a time to find candidate links. The links are recursively followed and those pages are analyzed. A detailed set of heuristics is used to determine what is or is not a candidate link. The candidate pages are then optionally fed to a document-level analyzer. This process compares the attributes of one page against the others and looks for a document-like structure. Using another detailed set of heuristics, the document-level analyzer determines if the page should be included in the document.

Abstract: Disclosed is a process for forming a channel wafer for a novel ink jet printhead, having an ink particle-filter layer over the ink-inlet surface thereof. The process comprises the steps of applying a thin coating of a heat-curable, photopatternable polymer composition to an intermediate substrate having a release surface and drying the coating to form a semi-solid adhesive layer. The layer and supporting substrate are pressed against the ink-inlet surface of a channel wafer with an optional adhesive layer to bond the layer to the ink inlet surface. The substrate is separated to transfer the contacting area of the semi-solid layer to the ink-inlet surface as a laminate, and the semi-solid layer is exposed through a filter-forming mask and ink particle-filter openings are developed therethrough, either before or after transfer of the semi-solid adhesive layer from the intermediate substrate to the ink-inlet surface of the channel wafer, and the filter layer is cured.
