  • Patent number: 5926188
Abstract: An overlap judgment device writes job sequence divided by a job sequencing device to map memory constituted at coarser resolution than the resolution of a final generated image. At this time, if an image element where a job sequence number is already written is overwritten, the dependence of the job sequence upon processing order is extracted and if an image element is not overwritten, the independence of the job sequence is extracted. A number allocated to job sequence is written to the map memory, if an image element is overwritten, the number of the preceding job sequence is allocated to the overwritten job sequence and referred to when a final image is generated.

  • Patent number: 5925446
Abstract: Electrophotographic transfer paper having a coating layer provided on at least one surface of base paper and pigments and adhesive agents as main components, wherein resistivity (VR) and surface resistivity (SV) of electrophotographic transfer paper after the humidity has adjusted to 10.degree. C., 30% RH for 12 hours satisfy the expression Log(VR/SR).ltoreq.1.5. Using such electrophotographic transfer paper, occurrence of discharge mark and occurrence of density irregularity in a high-density image region are prevented to thereby make it possible to provide electrophotographic transfer paper excellent in fixing characteristic, nonshowthrough, partial deletion and generation of paper dust.

  • Patent number: 5926605
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided that reliably saves sections of sounds and images believed to be important by associating the sounds and images with user input, changes in sounds, and changes in images. A condition-matching interval detecting device takes audio data or image data from a data input device and detects a condition-matching interval that matches prescribed conditions set beforehand. The incoming audio data or incoming image data is associated with data indicating the condition-matching interval and is stored temporarily in a temporary storing device. If the user-input detecting device detects user-input data, a sequence from the audio data or the image data stored temporarily in temporary storing device is stored in time-series data storing device, the sequence beginning at least from the start of a condition-matching interval.

  • Patent number: 5926459
Abstract: Rate shaping is provided in per-flow queued routing mechanisms for available bit rate service. A traffic shaper in a packet switched communications system serially emits packets of time multiplexed flows in substantial compliance with individual network traffic contracts for the respective flows. The individual network traffic contracts include contracts which specify respective peak packet emission rates and associated peak rate tolerances for certain of the flows and which cause each of the flows to fall into mutually exclusive categories. The traffic shaper includes a queuing mechanism and a scheduling mechanism. The queuing mechanism organizes pending packets of active flows, including the certain flows, in respective queues in accordance with an oldest pending packet at head of queue order. The scheduling mechanism is coupled to the queuing mechanism for scheduling the packets of the active flows for emission.

  • Patent number: 5926726
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a p-type III-V nitride compound semiconductor utilizing vapor phase epitaxy is carried out in a MOCVD reactor by growing a III-V nitride compound semiconductor in the reactor employing a reaction gas containing a p-type impurity and then annealing in-situ the nitride compound semiconductor to bring about acceptor activation, the annealing carried out at a temperature below the growth temperature of the III-V nitride compound semiconductor during reactor cooldown. A nitrogen (N) reactant or precursor is provided in the reactor during the annealing step which can produce a reactive form of N capable of suppressing surface decomposition and does not produce atomic hydrogen. Also, acceptor activation is achieved through the employment of a cap layer comprising a n-type Group III-V nitride material, e.g., n-GaN, grown on the p-doped Group III-V nitride layer preventing the occurrence of hydrogenation of the underlying p-doped layer during cooldown.

  • Patent number: 5926579
Abstract: Density data produced by an image reading unit is input to a surface density detection unit, which detects a surface density by averaging density data of pixels within a predetermined density range. A period setting unit sets a period of sampling density data of pixels to be used for calculation of the surface density. A surface reference density generation unit generates a surface reference density by adding an offset to the detected surface density. A surface color elimination unit corrects density data of a pixel lower than the surface reference density to the white level to eliminate a surface color.

  • Patent number: 5923013
Abstract: A print control system managing a print job on a job basis and on a page basis. When a print job is interpreted, a job description file and page data for each page are created. The job description file contains the attribute of the entire job and a job element (content) list. An item of page data is associated with the print attribute of each page including image data. The job control module extracts necessary image data according to the job element list and sends it to a printer. Because a plurality of print jobs share the common data, many job management functions, including print job combination and page addition/deletion, can be implemented easily.
